Attention to detail and the ability to read, interpret and improve drawings where necessary will be key.\nResponsibilities\nHands-on assembly of newly designed Airframe, Fuel & Avionics related components supporting the Engineering, Manufacturing and R & D departments.\nCarry out qualification of subsystems, aircraft commissioning, and aircraft-level inspections/test in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).\nDeliver the daily targets set out by the Manufacturing Production Planner to meet the agreed production schedule.\nFeedback of process, tooling, and assembly pain points to Manufacturing Production Planner and Engineering Teams.\nOn-site support as required during installation, ground testing, and flight testing of new systems (within the UK).\nContinued management of workspace, ensuring cleanliness and tidiness is maintained.\nEnsuring stock levels of consumable items under your control are maintained and requests for additional consumables are made to the purchasing team.\nDocumenting work carried out to create and maintain aircraft build logs.\nOther responsibilities as agreed with your manager.\nAdditional Responsibilities\nContribute Expertise\nServe as a subject matter expert within the airframe production domain.\nDrive Cross-functional Collaboration\nWork closely with zone leads and supervisors (Powerplant, Avionics)\nMaintain Standards and Promote Continuous Improvement\nUphold documentation, quality, and compliance standards across your area.\nSuggest and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency or scalability.\nIdentify opportunities for improving tools, systems, or processes.\nUphold Values and Safety\nChampion company values: Purpose, Agile, Resilient, Team, Safe.\nFoster a high-performance, inclusive, and respectful team culture.\nQualifications & Experience Required\n3+ years’ experience working within a Manufacturing or Production leadership / supervisory context.\nAbility to follow, interpret, and provide feedback on engineering drawings or manufacturing packs.\nStrong general manufacturing skills (basic metalworking, systems assembly, adhesives, riveting, etc).\nTechnically capable with good logical reasoning.\nAbility to adapt and learn new skills.\nGood presentation and communication skills.\nStrong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate and direct work activities.\nGeneral Manufacturing process knowledge (installation, systems, metalworking, etc).\nRight to work within the UK.\nVetting and security clearance (BPSS obtained within probation period).\nDesirable\nPrior relevant industry experience.\nExperience with MRP or work tracking tools (Odoo, Jira)\nExperience using MCAD and ECAD tools.\nUAV industry knowledge.\nOther\nThe above is only an outline of the tasks, responsibilities and outcomes required of the role.
