You will support the full development lifecycle - from concept design through prototyping, testing and production - working closely with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, manufacturing and flight operations. We’re looking for engineers who enjoy solving real engineering problems and want to see their designs built, tested and flown. The role suits someone who is comfortable working across design, prototyping and manufacturing, and who thrives in a collaborative development environment.\nResponsibilities/Tasks\nDevelop 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings for UAV components and assemblies including structural elements, payload integration solutions and mechanical subsystems.\nProduce manufacturing documentation, BOMs and technical specifications for in-house and external manufacturing.\nSupport prototype builds, ground testing and flight testing, troubleshooting mechanical issues and implementing improvements.\nSupport full lifecycle of designs, change management, manufacturing at scale and operations.\nContribute to design reviews, clearly communicating engineering decisions, trade-offs and risks.\nOther responsibilities as agreed with your Manger\nConduct yourself in a professional manner at all times in accordance with the company expected behaviours and values\nWork in accordance with company policies, procedures and guidelines \nAct always in a safe manner and in support of our Health and safety agenda\nSkills/Knowledge\nDegree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline. \n3+ years mechanical design experience in aerospace, UAV, defence or relevant sector (vehicles, automotive/motorsport). \nStrong CAD skills, strong preference for SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM.\nExperience with structural analysis / FEA of components and assemblies is desirable but not necessary. \nExperience designing lightweight structural assemblies, mechanical systems, and payload integration activities. \nExperience producing engineering drawings, BOMs and manufacturing documentation. \nKnowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, sheet metal fabrication, bonded or riveted assemblies (composites experience is advantageous). \nRight to work within the UK \nAbility to travel abroad to EU and non-EU territories \nVetting and security clearance (as required by role, location or
