We offer commercial and consumer banking services primarily to clients in Maryland, DC, and Northern Virginia, alongside two nation-wide lending brands; Capital Bank Home Loans and OpenSky, a credit card division that offers and services credit cards across all states.\nPosition Purpose\nThe Loan Processing Team Lead will report to the Manager of Loan Processing and will serve as the processing department’s point of contact for guidance, training and to service clients. Processes include, but are not limited to, overseeing packaging and closing of all SBA and USDA loans, maintaining existing and building new lender relations, assist the Manager of Loan Processing with the proper training of the department, identifying process change and improvements, providing leadership and a team driven office environment, and other essential department functions.\nPosition Responsibilities\n\nPersonally maintain at least 6-8 active loans and ensure that they are properly closed in accordance with SBA/USDA and lender guidelines.\nAssist with assignments of new deals to staff members as new deals are sent by lenders and/or moved from the underwriting department over to the processing and closing department.\nWork daily with the processing department to ensure proper processing of all SBA/USDA loans through scheduled meetings and reviews.\nManage relationships with borrowers, financial intermediaries, lenders, Windsor management and the SBA/USDA throughout the loan lifecycle using effective communication with a high attention to detail.\nTrack training gaps to report to Manager of Loan Processing for review.\nActively lead calls with lenders to identify and discuss status of current deals.\nAssist when needed with audit exam request, internal, external, investor, and regulatory.\nEscalate issues to the Manager of Loan Processing for discussion and resolution.\nAssist with training sessions to ensure all parties are aware of any changes to SBA and USDA rules and regulations.\nParticipate in weekly Level 10 department meetings to identify, discuss, solve and implement department process improvements.\nAssist with responding to all lender inquiries regarding pre-approval of deals and other general questions regarding process.\nAdditional Responsibilities\nAdheres specifically to all Company policies and procedures, Federal and State regulations, and laws.\nCompletes online and other regulatory compliance training by the specified due dates.\nOpens cases/tickets with vendors and suppliers as needed.\nPerforms other duties as required. \nMinimum Education & Experience\nBachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business administration or equivalent in SBA & USDA training.\n3-5 years related experience in accounting, finance, or similar industry.\nExperience overseeing SBA and/or USDA loans.\nExperience packaging and closing SBA/USDA loans.\nTechnical Knowledge and Skills\nBroad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc. Extensive knowledge of SBA and USDA loans.\nExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. \nAdvanced or expert level excel skills.\nMust have strong business development skills.\nProficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook are required.\nCompensation\nBase Salary Range: Final determination of where you are at in the salary range is based on numerous factors such as geographical location, relevant experience, skill set, education, and ability to meet qualifications within the job description. \nAdditional Compensation: This role will include a yearly annual target bonus based on individual performance.\nWorking Arrangements\nThis role is a remote role. \nWhy Join Us?\nJoin a growing company with a culture that fosters an entrepreneurial spirit\nComprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Company Paid Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, and more? \nCompany Contributions to your 401k - Regardless of your contribution\nEmployee Perks: Paid Parental Leave, Employee Recognition Program, Leadership Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program, Employee Bank Checking Account, and much more!\nGenerous Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays - Including Paid Charity Hours to support volunteer opportunities \nSupporting Businesses.
