This requires a new kind of role - one that blends engineering, automation, experiment velocity, and GTM execution.\nAbout the Role\nWe are hiring a full-time GTM Automation Engineer to architect, automate, and optimize our outbound growth systems. This is a hybrid role combining Clay automation expertise, light engineering, outbound infrastructure, experimentation, and crisp copywriting.\nYou will build and maintain the machine behind our outbound engine: Clay workflows, enrichment pipelines, domain infrastructure, multi-tool integrations, personalization systems, and data dashboards. You will run high-velocity experiments, write conversion-focused outbound copy, troubleshoot deliverability, and scale sending volume across hundreds of thousands of leads.\nYou will work closely with our marketing, product, and sales teams - but you will own your domain with a high degree of autonomy. The systems you build will directly drive pipeline, revenue, and go-to-market strategy. This is a highly technical, high-leverage role that sits at the intersection of engineering and growth. The impact you make here will be massive.\nResponsibilities\nYou will own the entire outbound automation machine, including:\n1. Clay Workflows & Lead Infrastructure\n- Build advanced Clay workflows for scraping, enrichment, verification, scoring, routing, and personalization\n- Use APIs, webhooks, and custom code steps to automate data pipelines\n- Create ICP logic, trigger systems, and multi-step lead flows\n2. Multi-Domain Email Infrastructure, Deliverability, Verification\n- Set up hundreds, up to thousands of domains, warming, DNS, DMARC, DKIM, SPF\n- Build scalable campaign systems in Instantly using Apollo data\n- Know the ins and outs of email verification: LeadMagic, BounceBan, and more\n- Maintain deliverability and sending health across all domains\n- Implement verification, cleansing, and bounce prevention\n3. Experiments & Optimization\n- Ship several outbound experiments per week, measure results\n- Test variations of copy, subject lines, offers, personas\n- Build dashboards to track open → reply → meeting → revenue\n- Identify bottlenecks and improve system performance continuously\n4. Copywriting & Messaging\n- Write clear outbound emails and short-form sequences\n- Use Clay’s AI rewriting + dynamic variables for deep personalization\n- Create persona-based messaging frameworks\n5. Data & Engineering Tasks\n- Write small scripts (Python, JavaScript) when needed\n- Integrate tools through API calls and workflows\n- Clean, transform, and normalize data\n- Maintain accurate metrics and reporting\nOutcomes You Will Be Accountable For\nScaling outbound sending volume from 5k → 50k → 250k+ emails/month\nImproving reply rates and meeting-booked rates through experimentation\nReducing cost per qualified meeting\nBuilding a predictable outbound funnel that feeds Sales every day\nEnsuring strong deliverability across all domains and systems\nAutomating manual steps so the outbound engine becomes self-sustaining\nRequirements\nMust-Have\n- Expert-level Clay experience (advanced formulas, automations, integrations)\n- Strong experience with Apollo and Instantly\n- Ability to write clean, concise outbound copy in English\n- Experience setting up email domains, DNS, verification, warming\n- Ability to write scripts with Python/JS\n- Strong data skills (normalization, dedupe, cleansing, schema design)\n- Experience running large-scale outbound campaigns\n- Strong analytical and experimentation mindset\n- Portfolio/GitHub/work samples showing past automation work\nNice-to-Have\n- Experience with CRMs (HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce)\n- Experience in B2B SaaS outbound\n- Built outbound systems sending 100k-1M+ emails/month\n- Experience with dashboards (Looker Studio, Retool, Metabase)\n- Familiarity with web scraping tools and unofficial APIs\nWho You Are\n- You think in systems and flows\n- You get excited about automating something that used to take hours\n- You are comfortable working in a high-velocity environment\n- You enjoy solving messy data problems\n- You can write copy and write scripts\n- You like shipping experiments, not sitting in meetings\n- You want ownership -
