This is a hybrid, in-person program based in Palo Alto, CA, with start dates in May or June. Eligible candidates must be a current student enrolled in a degree program and intend to return to the program after the completion of the summer internship. \nAbout the Role:\nWing is looking for a Hardware Test EngineerIntern to join our Electrical Engineering based in Palo Alto, CA. \nThe position seeks highly-motivated individuals who enjoy working in a highly dynamic team environment. The successful candidate is able to demonstrate a broad understanding of electromagnetics, wireless systems, electrical circuit design, prototyping, and analysis skills based. We’re looking for people who are intrinsically driven to solve hard problems with stunningly simple solutions, move fast, and are highly adaptive. \nYou’ll be optimizing cutting edge avionics for compatibility with wireless systems. This will include using hands on benchtop and analysis of flight logs to identify and debug desense issues. Once desense problems are identified you will be responsible for designing, implementing and verifying hardware solutions. \nWhat You’ll Need: \nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or related field, graduating between December 2027 and August 2028\nExperience in electrical engineering: reading and understanding an electrical schematic, measuring voltage waveforms, soldering, rework, hands-on circuit troubleshooting\nWorking knowledge of hands on electrical test equipment including spectrum analyzers and oscilloscopes\nUnderstanding of electromagnetics including capacitance, inductance, coupling and waves\nExperience with at least one programming language (ex python or matlab) for analysis and data visualization\nThis is your chance to:\nHelp develop and test cutting edge avionics which includes wireless connectivity, high speed digital processors, camera sensors and more\nExperience PCB component qualification, bring-up and test\nWork with advanced wireless test equipment including spectrum analyzers and high speed oscilloscopes\nSolve real world problems helping ensure the avionics use the best parts, are reliable and manufacturable\nGain valuable experience in the drone delivery industry which is evolving rapidly\nWork cross functionally outside of the electrical engineering team to consider the big picture \nWork with a friendly team and senior engineers who are happy to answer questions\nWing is an equal opportunity employer and it is Wing's policy to comply with all applicable national, state and local laws pertaining to nondiscrimination and equal opportunity.
