This position provides challenging opportunities to apply and expand one’s cloud engineering, systems architecture, security experience.\nDay to day responsibilities\nThe DevSecOps Engineer can look forward to the following essential elements in this exciting role:\nContribute to the design, analysis, and implementation of Wingbrace’s DevSecOps tooling ecosystem.\nDrive cyber assurance, system hardening, and security control implementation across development and production environments.\nDevelop automation scripts and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) to eliminate manual processes, increasing operational efficiency and consistency.\nContribute to platform architecture roadmaps and help evolve our internal software factory delivery model for Wingbrace’s software engineering teams.\nArchitect, administer, and scale Kubernetes clusters across hybrid cloud and on-premises defense ecosystems.\nContinuously evaluate and integrate emerging DevSecOps tools, security scanners, and methodologies.\nBalance big-picture architectural thinking with practical, rational execution that delivers continuous value to engineering teams.\nSkills/Education/Certification\nRequired:\nMust be a US citizen capable of obtaining and maintaining a US DoD clearance within first year of employment\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering\nDemonstrated proficiency and strength in verbal, written, presentation, and communications skills for developing and delivering technical presentations\nReferenceable project-based experience in a team environment\nMinimum 3-5 years of experience supporting software development, CI/CD, and platform operations.\nHands-on experience deploying, configuring, and maintaining GitLab (including GitLab CI/CD pipelines) or equivalent DevSecOps platforms.\nStrong proficiency in Kubernetes administration (e.g., RKE2, EKS, AKS); CNCF certifications (CKA, CKAD, CKS) or equivalent demonstrable experience are strongly favored.\nExperience writing automation scripts and Infrastructure-as-Code using context-appropriate languages and tools (Ansible, Terraform, ARM templates, Bash, Python, or PowerShell).\nSolid understanding of containerization and software package management (Docker/Podman, pip, NuGet, crates, and private artifact registries).\nExperience with identity and access management (IAM) and RBAC using Keycloak and Active Directory.\nExperience managing code quality and security scanning tools such as SonarQube.\nExperience managing Azure cloud infrastructure (including Azure Government), such as Virtual Machines, VNets, NSGs, Cost Management, Azure Monitor, Azure CLI, Azure Automation, and VM image management.\nStrong Linux administration skills, preferably RHEL.\nExperience building and maintaining platforms in restricted, air-gapped, or disconnected networks is highly desirable.\nExperience working in the defense industry or in a highly cyber-regulated environment (e.g., NIST 800-171, CMMC, STIG compliance) is desirable.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple, intuitive terms for diverse stakeholders.\nPreferred:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering or related field or demonstrated experience\nTop Secret Security clearance \nAbility to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary, dynamic team environment\nAbility to take your current skills and experience and transform them to apply to the military/defense domain\nBeneficial:Experience with DoD cloud offerings (Platform One, Cloud One, FENCES, etc.)\n Benefits We believe customer experience starts with employee experience, so we take care of our employees.
