We all win together.\nWHAT WE’LL NEED\nThe Assistant Controller is a strategic business partner that will wear multiple hats in the organization and is responsible for the accounting of financial results and optimizing the overall controls, processes and procedures to support future growth.\nThis individual is an energetic self-starter and leader that will help to manage all aspects of accounting, provides monthly, quarterly and year-end financial analysis, maintains internal controls over financial reporting and works cross-functionally within the organization to support growth of the business.\nResponsibilities:\nResponsible for all activities/processes as it relates to the production of the financial records and statements.\nMeets all internal and external deadlines for closing the books and records in preparation for filing SEC financial statements.\nUnderstands technical accounting topics and applies all appropriate policies to the company records and disclosure.\nEstablishes and maintains financial controls ensuring policies and procedures (internal controls) are in place to ensure compliance with SOX 404. \nDirects work relating to external audits and the periodic review of the company financial records. \nLead the development and execution of multiple, simultaneous projects, in coordination with internal department heads and vendor resources where applicable.\nEnsures the accounting department is staffed with qualified personnel capable of meeting the objectives and responsibilities of the company. \nReconciles accounting issues through research to ensure proper balancing of accounts. \nLeads, guides and motivates employees to exceed customer expectations and provide excellent service.\nOther duties and special projects as assigned. \nWHAT YOU’LL NEED\nStrong understanding of U.S. GAAP.\n\nAdvanced excel and business writing skills.\n\nHigh attention to detail.\n\nAbility to build strong, collaborative relationships across functional areas.\n\nStrong analytical skills with exceptional follow-up and sense of urgency.\n\nExcellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills.\n\nExcellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.\n\nEnergetic, innovative and flexible.\n\nAdaptable with changing priorities and conditions within the company.\n\nExhibits tenacity meeting goals and determining solutions to meet business challenges.\n\nResourceful, learns quickly and has a thirst for knowledge.\n\nEducation and Work Experience:\nMinimum 10 years of accounting experience required.\n\nCPA required.\n\nPublic Company experience, required.\n\nSarbanes-Oxley experience, required.\n\nPrior management experience required.\n\nCollege degree in Accounting or Finance required.\n\nBig 4 public accounting experience preferred.\n\nWHO YOU ARE \nNo job is too small.
