We all win together.\nWHAT WE’LL NEED\nThe Senior Software Engineer - Restaurant Tech POS & Intelligent Systems is a senior-level individual contributor responsible for designing and implementing scalable restaurant technology solutions that modernize Wingstop’s POS and back-office ecosystem.\nThis role will focus on:\nBuilding resilient, secure, high-performance POS integrations\nDesigning cloud-native APIs and distributed services\nSupporting inventory modernization and item master separation from legacy NBO systems\nDeveloping reusable integration patterns across POS, kitchen, and enterprise platforms\nEstablishing secure, PCI-aware transaction flows\nLeveraging AI-enabled development practices to improve engineering velocity and system reliability\nThis individual will operate as a technical owner within the Restaurant Technology domain, ensuring scalable architecture, clean design standards, and operational excellence across restaurant systems.\nRole Responsibilities\nArchitect and build scalable integration services supporting POS and back-office modernization\nDesign distributed APIs ensuring high availability and low latency across restaurant systems\nSupport inventory-aware workflows including item availability and stock synchronization\nLead separation and redesign of item master ownership from legacy systems\nEstablish automated testing standards and release quality controls\nImplement observability, monitoring, and production reliability practices\nEnsure compliance with PCI and data protection standards\nPartner cross-functionally to align technical solutions with operational business needs\nContribute to AI-enabled automation initiatives improving engineering productivity and operational insight\nWHAT YOU’LL NEED\nEducation Requirements\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)\n\nCertifications\nCloud certifications (AWS preferred) are a plus\n\nTools & Technical Experience\n7+ years of professional software engineering experience\n\nStrong experience in restaurant POS, retail store systems, or hospitality technology\n\nBackend expertise in Python and API architecture\n\nExperience designing distributed systems in AWS\n\nExperience building high-availability, low-latency transaction systems\n\nExperience implementing CI/CD pipelines and release quality controls\n\nFamiliarity with PCI-sensitive or regulated transaction environments\n\nHands-on experience deploying AI, generative AI, or agent-based systems in production environments is preferred\n\nPeople Skills\nStrong cross-functional collaboration skills\n\nAbility to translate operational business requirements into scalable system design\n\nHigh ownership and accountability mindset\n\nClear written and verbal communication skills\n\nCommitment to engineering excellence, testing discipline, and production reliability\n\nAbility to operate independently as a senior individual contributor\n\nWHO YOU ARE \nNo job is too small.
