The ideal candidate will also perform general maintenance and repair of building structures and associated mechanical, electrical, plumbing, sanitary systems and equipment. \nThe pay range for this role is $22.18-$25.50 per hour. In accordance with the REAL ID Act, effective May 7, 2025, a REAL ID compliant driver’s license/ID is required in order to access the federal facility. Applications will be accepted for this position until October 6th, 2026.\nResponsibilities: \nRespond to service calls, complete Change of Occupancy Maintenance work and other property maintenance requests. \nTransport, install and connect stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers and other electrical and gas appliances. \nLoad and unload trucks and other conveyances. \nMove supplies and materials to proper location by wheelbarrows or hand trucks. \nStack materials for storage or binning collecting refuse and salvageable materials. \nTransport equipment, furnishings and appliances to job sites. \nRepair and fabricate window and door screens and frames. \nDig, fill and tamp earth excavations; level grounds using pick, shovel, tamper and rake; shovel concrete; clean culverts and ditches; cut tree and brush; operate power tools and lawn mowers. \nRemove floor tile, sheet vinyl, ceramic floor tile and plywood. \nRemove damaged drywall. \nOperate power blowers or use brooms to clean roof tops, sidewalks and driveways of leaves and debris. \nEnsure work-site clean up. \nRespond to and complete on-call after hour emergency and urgent repairs. \nUpdate work order status including time, materials and notes on mobile devices provided in an accurate and timely manner. \nComplete and submit all required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner. \nKeep supervisor well-informed of activities, results of efforts, problems identified/potential problems, etc.; recommend corrective actions to supervisor. \nMaintain vehicle and vehicle inventory as prescribed. \nRequirements: \nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent. \nLess than 1-3 years of relevant work experience. \nA current driver's license in good standing and ability to meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy. \nBasic competency in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical trades. \nAbility to provide basic tools and equipment necessary to perform daily duties. \nBasic familiarity with computers and tablets. \nSharp customer service skills. \nAbility to read and write in English, in order to understand basic instructions and take direction from supervisors. \nAbility to plan, organize, and prioritize work. \nThis position is located at a federal facility.
