Newmar is part of Winnebago Industries, Inc. a leading U.S. manufacturer of outdoor lifestyle experiences under the Winnebago, Newmar, Grand Design, Chris-Craft, and Barletta brands.\nPrimary Objective of Position: Help lead Newmar’s accounting operations and financial reporting by ensuring accurate results, strong controls, well-managed manufacturing and inventory accounting, and continued support and development of the accounting team.\nKey Areas of Responsibility\nLead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and provide accurate, timely financial statements and management reporting in line with U.S. GAAP and corporate policies.\nGuide core accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, payroll accounting, intercompany activity, and account reconciliations.\nLead internal controls and SOX compliance for the accounting function, including documentation, testing support, issue follow-up, and efforts to help protect company assets.\nOversee product costing, standard costs, inventory valuation, cycle-count controls, reserves, and manufacturing margin analysis.\nServe as Newmar’s main accounting contact for internal and external audits, coordinating schedules, documentation, responses, and corrective actions.\nOversee bank reconciliations, cash controls, working-capital reporting, and accounting support for treasury, tax, and regulatory requirements.\nPartner with FP&A, Operations, Supply Chain, IT, and corporate finance on budgeting, forecasting, capital decisions, financial analysis, and business performance improvement.\nImprove accounting processes, documentation, automation, and financial systems, including ERP and reporting enhancements.\nLead, coach, and support the accounting team by setting clear expectations, building capability, encouraging cross-training, and providing responsive service to business partners.\nProvide timely financial insight, analysis, and recommendations to the CFO and senior leadership; perform other related duties as assigned.\nKey Attributes\nStrong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, SOX compliance, cost accounting, and inventory accounting.\nHands-on leadership style with sound judgment, attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy and accountability.\nAbility to translate financial information into clear business insights for finance and non-finance leaders.\nStrong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues, explain financial impacts, and recommend practical solutions.\nDemonstrated ability to develop talent, improve processes, and work effectively with leaders across the business.\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA preferred.\nSignificant progressive accounting leadership experience, preferably in a complex manufacturing environment.\nExperience leading financial close processes and coordinating internal and external audits.\nProficiency with ERP, financial reporting systems, and Microsoft Office applications; Infor XA experience is a plus.\nPrior experience leading and developing an accounting team required.","description_format":"text","description_chars":3629,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Manufacturing"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-01T13:02:11Z"}],"liveness":{"score":86,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.86,"p_room":1,"age_days":3,"expected_fill_days":14,"reasons":["conf:3","win:early"],"computed_at":"2026-10-02T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/winnebago-industries-inc-controller","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/winnebago-industries-inc-controller.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-03T01:07:59Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":980,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":4020,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-10-04T00:00:00Z"}}}
