We are looking for a collaborative, hands-on professional who can strengthen supplier performance, develop supply chain talent, align purchasing priorities with production and business needs, and drive continuous improvement across the organization.\nWINSYSTEMS, Inc. designs, manufactures, tests, and distributes rugged embedded computer systems for demanding industrial applications. From our Grand Prairie, Texas headquarters, we provide x86- and Arm®-based embedded single-board computers and I/O modules engineered for long-term reliability and performance. Our team combines engineering expertise, responsive customer support, and a commitment to quality to help customers bring dependable, embedded solutions to market.\nJob Summary\nThe Supply Chain Manager's primary responsibility is to oversee and manage the Company's overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations. The Supply Chain Manager purchases according to assessed actual and forecasted demand, procuring the highest quality components at the most cost effective pricing, while meeting company financial, quality, and delivery standards. This integral position requires a strong customer service orientation and relationship building skills including cooperation, collaboration and trust to develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Critical thinking and organizational skills are crucial to success in this position.\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nSupervise the Supply Chain Specialist, including assigning and prioritizing work, providing day-to-day guidance, monitoring workload and performance, and ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on schedule. \nTrain and develop the employee on purchasing procedures, supplier communication, ERP system use, and company policies. \nEstablish performance expectations, provide ongoing feedback and coaching, conduct performance evaluations, and address performance or conduct concerns in coordination with Human Resources. \nReview and approve work as appropriate, support cross-training and coverage planning, and promote effective communication, accountability, and continuous improvement within the supply chain function.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nPlace purchase orders for the company, based on MRP, requisitions, and identified component demand.\nProcess P.O.'s, PCN's, and ECO's in internal database system. (WinBase).\nTrack order status and communicate effectively with suppliers to ensure continuity of supply. Duties include pulling in orders based on Sales Order/Work Order demand.\nCommunicate with suppliers regarding supply chain activities; including price and terms negotiation, risk assessment, EOL, and product change issues. \nCollaborate with internal stakeholders regarding forecasting, ordering, and delivery issues.\nUtilize ERP system, Sequel, and Excel to generate reports for monitoring purchase activity and decision-making. Utilizes Visual Basic coding in Excel to create automated reports and functions.\nChampion continuous process improvement and cost reduction initiatives. \nResponsible for optimal component inventory level; in support of financial targets, production requirements, and finished product delivery performance.\nVet brokers and work with them for hard-to-find and obsolete materials.\nProcess RMA’s through ERP system and work with vendors and internal team to ensure a smooth process.\nAssist the sales team with new customer opportunities, lead time, and price requests; and full project updates.\nVet new components for market availability, engineering samples and second sources. \nCreates and provide forecasts to vendors on a regular or as-needed basis.\nExperience with quality systems (e.g. ISO9001, AS9100), working with auditors; and operating within and documenting the process requirements.\nWork with vendors to obtain and maintain records of their ISO certifications.\nCreate and maintain KPI’s relative to purchasing performance.\nOther Duties and Responsibilities\nParticipate in cross-functional meetings, inventory reviews, quality audits, and special projects related to supplier performance, material availability, cost control, and operational improvement.\nMaintain organized purchasing and supplier documentation and assist with reports, records, and supporting information requested by management, auditors, customers, or other departments.\nThis job description is not intended to list every duty or responsibility of the position. The employee may be asked to perform other related duties as assigned.\nQualifications and Skills:\n5-7 yrs. experience in a lead purchasing role; with experience in purchasing electronics components.\nElectronics manufacturing, distributor, broker and/or related industry/channels experience preferred.\nExperience working with brokers, distributors, and OEM component manufacturers\nDemonstrated expertise with a variety of MRP systems (e.g. SAP, Sage, Syspro, and Made to Manage), and Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel, Word).
