This position will be site-based in Dublin, Ireland.\nReports to:Campus Commissioning Manager\n\n Role Summary\nThe Data Centre Commissioning Manager is responsible for leading and delivering the full commissioning lifecycle for a hyperscale data centre project on behalf of the Winthrop Technologies. The role ensures that all building systems are commissioned in strict alignment with the Clients standards, technical specifications, safety requirements, and commissioning governance, culminating in successful Integrated Systems Testing (IST), turnover, and client acceptance.\nThe role requires strong technical leadership, disciplined process control, and the ability to operate within Microsoft’s structured approval, reporting, and change management frameworks.\nDevelop, manage, and execute the Project Commissioning Plan/ Cx PoR in accordance with the client commissioning requirements, specifications, and templates.\nEnsure alignment with the projects phase gates, readiness milestones, and acceptance criteria.\nMaintain compliance with the project safety, quality, documentation, and change control processes throughout commissioning.\nCommissioning Planning & Delivery\nLead commissioning activities across all mission-critical systems, including but not limited to:\nElectrical systems \nMechanical systems \nControls, EPMS, and BAS\nFire detection, suppression, and life safety systems\nDevelop detailed commissioning schedules aligned to the project baseline programme and turnover sequencing.\nEnsure commissioning readiness through structured pre-functional checks and system walkdowns in line with the project procedures.\nIntegrated Systems Testing (IST)\nCoordinate and manage the GC responsibilities in regard to IST planning, execution, and closeout in accordance with the clients test scripts and failure scenarios.\nManage live testing activities, load bank testing, black building / black start testing, and redundancy validation.\nCoordinate all trades, vendors, OFCI representatives, and third-party commissioning agents during the commissioning process.\nSafety & Risk Management\nEnforce Winthrop Technologies safety-first culture during all commissioning and energisation activities.\nReview and approve CX method statements, risk assessments, and energisation plans.\nActively manage commissioning risk registers and ensure issues are escalated and resolved in line with project requirements.\nStakeholder Coordination\nServe as the primary commissioning interface between the General Contractor, Microsoft, designers, subcontractors, vendors, and third-party agents.\nChair regular commissioning and readiness meetings, tracking actions, constraints, and approvals.\nSupport Client-led audits, site walks, and readiness reviews.\nQuality, Compliance & Assurance\nEnsure all commissioning activities comply with project specifications, local codes, and industry standards (ASHRAE, CIBSE, etc.).\nManage CX punch lists, defects, and non-conformances through to closure.\nSupport progressive system acceptance and phased turnover strategies.\nDocumentation & Handover\nManage the production, review, and approval of all commissioning documentation, including:\nTest scripts and procedures\nTest results, reports, and deficiency logs\nAs-built records, O&M manuals, and asset data\nEnsure documentation is delivered in accordance with Client formatting, data standards, and digital platforms.\nSupport training and transition to operations teams through the TOC process.\n\nRequirements\nEssential\nProven experience delivering commissioning for hyperscale data centre projects, preferably with Hyperscale clients.\nStrong MEP background with deep understanding of mission-critical electrical and mechanical systems.\nExperience operating within Hysperscale commissioning processes, governance, and reporting structures.\nDemonstrated leadership of Integrated Systems Testing in live or near-live environments.\nExperience working for a General Contractor on fast-track, large-scale data centre builds.\nDesirable\nDegree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).\nCommissioning or data centre certifications.\nExperience with Hyperscale campus-style developments and phased handovers.\nSkills & Competencies\nHighly structured and process-driven approach.\nStrong technical authority and decision-making capability.\nExcellent coordination and
