In this role, you will provide controller-level advisory by delivering strategic financial insights, guiding clients through budgeting, forecasting, and operational improvements, and supporting long-term financial stability. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a people-first, collaborative culture while helping skilled nursing organizations navigate complex financial and operational challenges.\nThis position can be worked remotely anywhere in the US.\nResponsibilities\nResponsibilities:\nReview financial reporting packages and work papers for quality, completeness, and timely delivery.\nPrepare and analyze benchmarking data and key performance indicators to support client insights.\nPresent completed reporting packages and findings to clients as directed.\nAssist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and cash flow models in alignment with client engagement terms.\nProvide technical accounting support to clients and their teams on complex issues.\nIdentify operational inefficiencies through client discovery sessions and recommend actionable improvements.\nLead and coordinate the efforts of US and offshore engagement team members, ensuring high-quality deliverables, efficient workflow management, and a consistent client experience.\nLead and coach staff and senior accountants, providing guidance on accounting and financial reporting matters.\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business. \n4-6 years of experience in public or private accounting. \n3+ years managing associates and/or teams. \nProfessional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred. \nProficiency in financial reporting and analysis. \nStrong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills. \nStrong project management and relationship-building skills, with a client-first mindset. \nExcellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. \nPreferred proficiency in industry accounting software, e.g., QuickBooks Online, Sage Inacct, and a demonstrated ability to embrace new technologies. \nDemonstrated ability to influence others, promote constructive change, and develop team members. \nAbility to travel up to 10% \nChristine Villicana from Wipfli’s recruiting team will be guiding you through this process.
