This role combines deep technical expertise, leadership, and business development to create meaningful impact for clients, team members, and the firm.Responsibilities\nResponsibilities:\nServe as a trusted advisor to construction clients, providing strategic tax planning, consulting, and business advisory services.\nLead complex tax engagements for contractors, developers, and related entities, including multi-state compliance, long-term contract accounting, and entity structuring.\nProactively identify tax-saving opportunities and provide guidance on emerging tax legislation and industry trends.\nManage and expand key client relationships, ensuring exceptional service and long-term partnership.\nDrive business development efforts by identifying growth opportunities, participating in industry networking, and supporting proposal and prospect activities.\nCollaborate across service lines to deliver integrated solutions that address clients' business and tax needs.\nProvide oversight of engagement quality, risk management, profitability, and timely delivery.\nMentor and develop managers, seniors, and staff while fostering a high-performing, collaborative team culture.\nContribute to practice growth initiatives, talent development, and the overall success of Wipfli's Construction Practice.\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.\nCPA required.\n10+ years of public accounting tax experience, including significant experience serving construction industry clients.\nStrong technical expertise in construction accounting, pass-through taxation, long-term contract accounting, and multi-state taxation.\nProven ability to manage complex client relationships and serve as a strategic advisor to business owners and executives.\nDemonstrated success developing talent, leading teams, and driving client and practice growth.\nStrong communication, leadership, and business development skills.\nAmanda Feltner, from our recruiting team, will be guiding you through this process.
