The position focuses on leading QA strategy, planning, coordination, and oversight. This person will also participate in hands-on execution as needed during high-volume periods, issue resolution, and major projects.\nThe Workday Quality Asurance Lead can work in person, remote, or in a hybrid environment.\nResponsibilities\nResponsibilities:\nLead and manage the end-to-end QA strategy for the Workday implementation, upgrades, and enhancements \nDefine and execute test plans, test strategies, and test frameworks; support risk assessment and mitigation planning \nOversee functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing cycles \nEnsure testing alignment across Workday modules, including HCM, Finance, Payroll, Time Tracking, and related integrations \nManage the defect lifecycle, including identification, prioritization, tracking, resolution, and transparent communication of issue status \nDrive test data preparation, environment coordination, release validation, and quality reporting \nPartner with business stakeholders to ensure UAT readiness, execution, sign-off, and alignment with business processes and functional requirements \nCoordinate cross-functional QA activities with developers, business analysts, system integrators, vendors, and other delivery partners \nEnsure adherence to QA best practices, standards, and governance processes\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; an equivalent combination of education, Workday, ERP, and quality assurance experience will be considered \n5+ years of quality assurance experience, including 3+ years supporting Workday implementations, with a proven record of leading QA for other ERP solutions or Workday transformation programs \nDeep understanding of Workday business processes and configurations\nExperience with test management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps and experience automating Workday functional testing\nStrong experience in functional and end-to-end testing methodologies \nHands-on expertise in UAT planning, coordination, and execution, including defect management, QA metrics, and reporting \nExcellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills \nAbility to make informed tradeoff decisions using business value, risk, effort, and user impact \nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, dependencies, and release timelines \nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with Professional Services Automation (PSA) implementations \nBackground in professional services, accounting, financial services, or another matrixed business environment \nWorkday PRO certification(s) \nExperience coordinating with distributed, offshore, or third-party delivery teams \nFormal QA certification, such as ISTQB, CSQA, or Agile Testing certification, with working knowledge of Agile frameworks.
