For additional information, visit us at www.wipro.com.Job Description\nSeeking a hands-on Test Engineer to develop and execute mechanical, shock/vibration, and controlled-heating test methods for material, cell, and battery-module evaluation. The engineer will own test methodology, fixture/setup design, equipment programming, data acquisition, analysis, and reporting while guiding technicians through sample preparation and test execution.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop test methodologies and protocols for mechanical material characterization, shock/vibration, and controlled-heating safety testing.\nPerform material testing to generate mechanical-property data for simulation input and calibration.\nDevelop and execute tensile and compression tests using Instron systems.\nProgram Instron controllers for test speeds and load vs. displacement control; acquire and analyze test data.\nDesign mechanical test fixtures, grips, and setups using CAD.\nSet up and use Digital Image Correlation (DIC), including specimen speckling and high-speed/high-frame-rate cameras for strain, motion, swelling, and deformation measurement.\nDefine sample-preparation methods and guide technicians in cutting, machining, and preparing specimens from finished batteries.\nPlan and execute shock/vibration testing using accelerometers and high-speed dynamic data acquisition.\nProgram and operate temperature/humidity environmental chambers and ovens for controlled-heating tests.\nConfigure thermocouples, temperature measurements, pressure sensors, and flow-rate sensors.\nSupport battery cell/module teardown and testing as needed.\nAnalyze test data, prepare SOPs and technical reports, and communicate results to engineering teams.\nGuide technicians, troubleshoot test setups/equipment, and collaborate with internal and external test laboratories.\nRequired Qualifications\nMS in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with 3+ years of relevant experience, OR BS with 5+ years of relevant experience.\nStrong hands-on experience with tensile and compression testing for mechanical-property characterization.\nStrong experience programming and operating Instron systems and extracting test data/reports.\nHands-on experience with DIC for strain/deformation measurement and high-speed/high-frame-rate cameras.\nExperience designing test fixtures, grips, and mechanical setups using CAD.\nExperience with sample preparation and battery cell teardown.\nExperience with shock/vibration testing, accelerometers, motion/acceleration measurement, and dynamic data acquisition.\nExperience with environmental chambers, ovens, controlled-heating testing, and temperature/pressure monitoring.\nExperience with thermocouples, temperature measurement, pressure sensors, and flow-rate sensors.\nAbility to troubleshoot testing issues, analyze data, document methods, and produce clear technical reports.\nComfortable combining hands-on laboratory work, data analysis, documentation, and collaboration with test technicians.\nPreferred\nAutomotive, consumer electronics, structural/mechanical testing, reliability, or similar laboratory experience.\nFamiliarity with machining, laser cutting, water-jet cutting, or other specimen-preparation methods.\nBattery testing experience is helpful but not required.\nBattery cycling experience is not required.\nKey Tools/Skills\nInstron | DIC | CAD/Fixture Design | Tensile & Compression Testing | High-Speed Cameras | Shock/Vibration Testing | Accelerometers | Data Acquisition | Environmental Chambers | Thermocouples\n͏\nMandatory Skills: CAETools.Experience: 3-5 Years\n.The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $140,000 .Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience.
