For additional information, visit us at www.wipro.com.Job Description\nRole Purpose\nWe are looking for an experienced Senior Database & Ruby Developer with strong expertise in, SQL, PostgreSQL, Ruby, YAML, Linux, and scripting.\nThe ideal candidate will have 4+ years of IT experience with a strong foundation in relational databases, database programming, data modeling, query optimization, and application or automation scripting. The role requires hands-on experience working with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases, along with Ruby development in Linux-based environments.\n͏\nKey Responsibilities\nDatabase Development and Management\nDesign, develop, enhance, and maintain complex SQL code.\nWork extensively with Oracle Database environments.\nDesign and maintain database objects such as tables, views, indexes, sequences, constraints, and stored procedures.\nParticipate in database and data-model design activities.\nAnalyze existing data models and recommend improvements based on application and business requirements.\nDevelop efficient database scripts for data processing, migration, validation, and maintenance.\nTroubleshoot database-related production and application issues.\nPerformance Optimization\nAnalyze complex SQL queries and identify performance bottlenecks.\nApply appropriate indexing and query optimization techniques.\nReview execution plans and optimize database access patterns.\nIdentify database performance issues and provide suitable technical solutions.\nFollow database development best practices to improve application reliability, maintainability, and performance.\nRuby and YAML Development\nDevelop, enhance, and maintain applications, utilities, and automation scripts using Ruby.\nWork with YAML for application configuration and related development activities.\nTroubleshoot Ruby scripts and application components.\nIntegrate Ruby-based components with relational databases and Linux-based systems where required.\nLinux and Scripting\nWork effectively within Linux/Unix environments.\nDevelop and maintain Shell scripts and/or Perl scripts for automation and operational requirements.\nPerform troubleshooting using standard Linux commands, utilities, logs, and process-management tools.\nAutomate repetitive database, application, deployment, or operational activities through scripting.\n͏\n͏\n͏\nMandatory Skills: OLTP Databases.Experience: 3-5 Years\n.Reinvent your world.
