Solution Architect

The candidate will have responsibilities across the following functions:

Solution Architecture:

• Design end-to-end Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F& O) solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Define scalable, secure, and high-performing solution architecture for Supply Chain and Manufacturing processes.
• Lead architecture discussions and provide best practice recommendations for ERP implementations.
• Evaluate business requirements and translate them into functional and technical solution designs.
• Review solution designs to ensure compliance with Microsoft's recommended architecture and implementation standards.

Supply Chain Management and Manufacturing:

• Lead solution design for SCM modules including: Procurement & Sourcing, Inventory Management, Warehouse Management (WMS), Production Control, Master Planning, Product Information Management, Sales & Distribution, Quality Management.
• Design manufacturing processes including: Bill of Materials (BOM), Production Orders, Routing, Capacity Planning, Lean Manufacturing, Shop Floor Control, Material Requirement Planning (MRP).
• Optimise supply chain and manufacturing workflows using D365 best practices.

Dynamics AX 2012 and D365 Migration:

• Assess existing Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 environments.
• Define migration strategies from AX 2012 to D365 F& O.
• Lead fit-gap analysis and recommend modernisation approaches.
• Ensure successful data migration and business process transformation.

Stakeholder Management:

• Work closely with business leaders to gather business requirements.
• Conduct workshops, solution demonstrations, and architecture review sessions.
• Provide functional and technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Communicate architectural decisions to business and technical stakeholders.

Integration and Technical Oversight:

• Define integration architecture with third-party applications.
• Review customisations and extensions following Microsoft best practices.
• Guide development teams on extensibility, performance optimisation, and code quality.
• Ensure seamless integration using: Azure Integration Services, Power Platform, Power Automate, Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus, REST APIs, Data Management Framework (DMF), Dual Write, OData.

Project Delivery:

• Participate in end-to-end ERP implementation projects.
• Lead architecture governance during design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Identify project risks and provide mitigation strategies.
• Support UAT, production deployment, and hypercare activities.

Leadership:

• Mentor functional consultants and technical teams.
• Review solution documentation and technical designs.
• Establish ERP implementation standards and governance.

Requirements:

• 12+ years of ERP implementation experience.
• Strong experience as a Solution Architect in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012
• Strong expertise in Supply Chain Management (SCM).
• Hands-on experience in Manufacturing module implementation.
• Experience in multiple end-to-end D365 F& O implementation projects.
• Strong understanding of: Procurement & Sourcing, Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, Production Control, Master Planning, Manufacturing, BOM, Routing, Costing, MRP.
• Experience in solution design and architecture governance.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.

• Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect (Preferred).

• 12+ years of Microsoft Dynamics ERP experience.
• Hands-on Solution Architect experience in D365 F& O.
• Strong expertise in SCM and Manufacturing modules.
• Prior experience working on Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 and migration to D365 F& O.
• Proven experience leading multiple end-to-end enterprise ERP implementations.
• Strong consulting, solution design, and stakeholder management skills.
