The Production Operator may work in one of three areas - Spooling, Stranding or Closing, and is responsible for his/her own safety and the safety of those around the machines. The Production Operator works under the direct supervision of a Production Supervisor and the technical oversight of the Process Engineering and Quality department.\nDuties & Responsibilities\nRecord set-up information at the start of each order.\nRemove empty bobbins from the previously completed order and load full bundles of wire or bobbins using appropriate lifting devices.\nWeld or knot new wire new supply to trailing end of previous order (if applicable).\nThread machine by pulling wire or strands through guides, tension rollers, and/or stranding or pre-forming heads.\nSecure, install and adjust the proper dies, stranding/pre-forming head, crushing rollers, post-former and carboloy rings as required by the order.\nSet the proper lay according to order specifications.\nAdjust tension and die pressure at the beginning of the order and as required throughout the entire order.\nStart lube pump as required by the order.\nInspect and replace tensioning devices as needed.\nInspect the set-change, including cutting a strand for helix-height measurement before requesting approval from the production supervisor.\nProperly tag product, stage in proper storage area, and record all production.\nMaintain a safe and clean working environment.\nPerform all job duties in accordance with work instructions and quality standards.\nMonthly Incentives - (opportunity to earn after probationary training period)\nOther duties as assigned by management.\nSchedule:\nMonday - Thursday 5a-3p \nCompensation:\n$20.61/hr\n+ Monthly Incentive Payments based on meeting operational metrics after 90-day probationary period is complete\nQ4 Employee Incentive Program - Sedalia Manufacturing\nEarn additional rewards for attendance and plant performance!\nWireCo is offering an exciting Q4 incentive program for eligible hourly production employees at our Sedalia manufacturing facility.\n$100 Monthly Perfect Attendance Bonus: Earn an additional $100 each month by reporting to every scheduled shift on time.\n\nAdditional Performance-Based Prizes: Employees who achieve perfect attendance are eligible for additional prize drawings tied to monthly plant utilization targets.\n\n$13,500 Monthly Bonus Pool: When the Sedalia facility achieves its 73% utilization target, eligible employees have the opportunity to participate in prize drawings.\n\n$50,000 Stretch Goal Prize Pool: Additional rewards are available if the facility achieves its 77% utilization stretch target.\n\nMonthly and quarterly prize amounts are distributed among multiple winners, giving eligible employees additional opportunities to earn rewards.\nThis is a Q4 2026 incentive program. Contact HR for complete program details.\n Required Qualifications\nFluent in English\nBasic computer skills \nPossess math skills and mechanical aptitude.\nMust have the ability to learn to use and read micrometers, tape measure, feeler gauge, and basic hand tools.\nMust be able to stand/walk on concrete floors for 10-12 hour shifts.\nMust be able to push/pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.\nMust be able to work in extreme environmental conditions with temperatures ranging from 40-100+ degrees Fahrenheit.\nPreferred Qualifications\nHigh School Diploma or GED Equivalent\nPrevious manufacturing experience that includes the use of measuring devices and the use of basic math and mechanical skills.\n Materials and Equipment Directly Used\nStrand and Wire rope of various diameters and lengths, on reels or in coils, empty or unassembled reels, paper lagging strips, tags, seizing wire, blocking, thimbles.\nRewinding machines, stanchions, shafts, collars, bushings, rope cutters, measuring devise, fork trucks, banding equipment, welders, various hand tools.\nPersonal protective equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toed safety shoes.\n Physical Requirements\nThe physical requirements described below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position:\nFrequently stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.\nFrequently bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and perform other material handling activities\nLift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable
