The supervisor will ensure that direction and decisions are rooted in our most basic operational demand, that Data is the Source of Truth. Provide coaching and training when appropriate.\nReview and approve employee’s labor sheets to ensure accuracy and to identify production problems and operator productivity.\nPerform timely performance evaluations & reviews.\nTake corrective disciplinary action with employees as appropriate\nCoordinate wire and material shortages with the Material Clerk.\nCoordinate machine and equipment problems with the Maintenance Department to avoid and/or reduce machine down-time.\nPerform quality control inspections to ensure the highest quality standards are achieved.\nEvaluate safety conditions, make recommendations to the Safety Manager, and conduct Safety Meetings with employees under your direction.\nAssure adherence to Company policies, plant rules, safety, preventive maintenance, and housekeeping programs in a uniform and consistent manner.\nFollow accurate, timely and visible inventory methods to enhance both physical and electronic inventory accuracies.\nUphold and advance Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and standards.\nMaintain and improve operating performance of the operations department.\nAssist in implementing improvement projects.\nEnsure proactive planning and execution of activities within the operations department.\nEnsure proper storage and handling of all materials.\nComply with plant infrastructure systems (JDE and HSE).\nEnsure and assist adequate training of workforce by facilitating machine training.\nReport all safety incidents and near misses and participate in investigations.\nParticipate in ongoing continuous education & training\nMust be a member of the site's Emergency Response Action Team\nSchedule and Compensation\nMust be flexible and available to work 10- or 12-hour shifts based on operational needs and the established shift schedule.\nMonday through Friday, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. the following morning, to provide supervisory coverage for second shift.\nEligible shifts qualify for shift differential pay in accordance with Company policy.\nFollowing successful completion of the90-day probationary period, employees become eligible to participate in the monthly Gainshare Bonus Program, subject to program guidelines and eligibility requirements.\n Required Qualifications\nHigh School Diploma or GED Equivalent\nMinimum five (5) year manufacturing experience\nGood computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft applications\nBilingual Spanish\nCompetent on JDE and HSE system for production transactions\nCompetent on setup/standard operations\nUnderstanding of safe work practices, Process Safety Management, and incident investigation techniques\nMust have strong verbal and written communication skills for interaction with all employees\nLeadership skills to develop a workforce through reward and recognition, coaching, corrective action and progressive discipline\nAbility to continuously improve the business\nAble to facilitate efficient cooperation between departments\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and react to changing priorities\nAbility to assess, prioritize and resolve plant issues\nPhysical Requirements & Working Conditions\nCombination office/production floor environment.\nStanding/walking on concrete floors for 12-hour shifts. \nPushing/pulling, lifting up to 50 lbs.\n Materials and Equipment Directly Used\nStandard office equipment including computer, mouse, keyboard, multifunction copier\nPersonal protective equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toed safety shoes\nMust be able to use JDE TranCollector scan guns and printers, calipers and micrometers, hand tools including wire cutters, plier’s wrenches, files, spot-welding equipment, calculator, and computer.\nMust demonstrate the ability to safely and responsibly operate a forklift in accordance with all site safety procedures, while obtaining and maintaining a valid forklift operator certification\nAdditional Information\nMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.\nAn applicant must complete a satisfactory background check post-offer of employment.
