This role provides frontline leadership for production associates, coordinates workflow, monitors production performance, and drives continuous improvement while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, quality, and employee engagement.\nThe Production Supervisor oversees manufacturing operations including fabrication, assembly, material handling, inventory control, shipping and receiving support, equipment utilization, and workforce management. This position is responsible for ensuring production schedules are achieved while maintaining compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) requirements, company policies, customer specifications, and all applicable safety and environmental regulations.\nSuccess in this role requires strong leadership, sound decision-making, effective communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to develop employees while driving operational excellence. supervise, coach, and develop production employees to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and customer service objectives.\nProvide daily direction, work assignments, and production priorities for improvement initiatives.\nProduction Operations\nCoordinate daily production activities to meet production schedules, quality standards, and customer delivery requirements.\nMonitor production performance, labor utilization, downtime, scrap, and efficiency metrics.\nEnsure employees are properly trained and qualified to perform assigned work safely and effectively.\nBalance staffing and resources to meet changing production priorities.\nCoordinate production flow with planning, maintenance, quality, warehouse, shipping, and other departments.\nMonitor equipment utilization and coordinate equipment repairs and preventive maintenance activities.\nSupport production startups, changeovers, and new product introductions.\nSafety & Compliance\nPromote and maintain a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and safe work practices.\nConduct routine safety observations, audits, and incident investigations.\nEnsure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).\nImmediately address unsafe behaviors and hazardous conditions.\nEnsure compliance with environmental regulations and company procedures.\nQuality Management\nEnsure compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) requirements, standard operating procedures, and documented work instructions.\nVerify production processes consistently meet customer specifications and quality standards.\nReview production documentation for completeness and accuracy.\nEnsure nonconforming material is properly identified, contained, documented, and dispositioned.\nPartner with Quality to investigate root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.\nInventory, Materials & Shipping\nCoordinate material flow to support uninterrupted production.\nEnsure accurate inventory transactions and material traceability.\nMonitor raw material availability and communicate shortages.\nSupport shipping and receiving activities to meet customer requirements.\nEnsure proper storage, handling, and identification of materials throughout the manufacturing process.\nContinuous Improvement\nLead and participate in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, waste reduction, and process improvement initiatives.\nAnalyze production performance data and identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost.\nImplement standardized work practices and drive operational discipline.\nEncourage employee involvement in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities.\nSupport new equipment implementation and process improvements.\nCommunication & Reporting\nConduct daily production meetings and shift handoffs.\nCommunicate production priorities, schedule changes, safety information, and operational updates.\nMaintain accurate production reports, labor records, downtime documentation, and performance metrics.\nCollaborate with leadership to achieve operational objectives.\nPerform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nDirectly supervises production employees assigned to the department.\nCarries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable employment laws.\nResponsibilities include interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, scheduling, performance management, disciplinary actions, employee development, and recognition.\nBuilds a culture focused on accountability, engagement, continuous improvement, teamwork, and operational excellence.\n Required Qualifications\n A high school diploma or GED.\nMinimum of five (5) years of manufacturing experience, including at least two (2) years in a lead, team lead, trainer, or supervisory leadership role.\nDemonstrated knowledge of manufacturing operations, production scheduling, and workforce management.\nWorking knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.\nKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, continuous improvement, and waste reduction principles.\nAbility to interpret production schedules, engineering drawings, work instructions, and technical documentation.\nStrong mechanical aptitude and manufacturing process knowledge.\nProficiency with ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and production reporting systems.\nStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.\nAbility to lead teams, manage priorities, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nPreferred Requirements\nAssociate’s or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or related discipline.\nSeven (7) or more years of progressive manufacturing experience.\nExperience supervising multiple production lines, shifts, or departments.\nExperience in fabrication, wire rope, cable, metals, industrial manufacturing, or heavy manufacturing environments.\nLean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement certification.\nForklift certification and experience with material handling equipment.\nExperience with ERP systems such as JD Edwards or SAP.\n Material and Equipment Directly Used\nPersonal protective equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toed safety shoes.\nProduction equipment including cut track, swager, press, coiler, hoist, forklifts, cranes, and associated manufacturing equipment.\nComputers, ERP systems, production reporting software, scanners, and inventory management systems.\nMeasuring devices including ring gauges, hardness testers, tape measures, micrometers, dial calipers, proof loaders, and other quality inspection equipment.\nWorking Conditions/Physical Requirements\nAbility to stand and walk throughout a manufacturing facility during a 10-12-hour shift.\nFrequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.\nAbility to bend, squat, kneel, climb, reach, twist, and perform repetitive movements.\nAbility to work in varying temperatures, elevated noise levels, and typical industrial manufacturing conditions.\nAbility to safely operate or oversee production equipment and material handling equipment.\nAbility to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).\nAdditional Information\nMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.\nEmployment is
