The Stranding Operator is responsible for his/her own safety and the safety of those around the stranding machine.\nThe Stranding Operator must exhibit the behaviors of the WireCo Business System (WBS):\nTeamwork - welcomes an environment of inclusiveness and healthy debate that reflects our team’s strength\nAccountable - celebrates our successes, learn from failures, avoid excuses, and own the outcomes of our efforts\nSelf-Aware - demonstrates an understanding of our strengths and needs, considering how our actions impact others\nNoble Intent - acts in the interests of others, approaching our work with integrity to ensure the best outcome\nDetermined - takes initiative, share ideas and find solutions to win and achieve our goals\nTransparent - promotes open and honest communication and constructive feedback for clarity and truth\nCurious - seeks knowledge and outside input to test our way of thinking, challenging the status quo\nDuties & Responsibilities\nRecord set-up information at the start of each order.\nLoad in full bobbins with the use of appropriate mechanical devices.\nWeld or knot new wire with old wire in the machine from previous order (if applicable).\nThread machine by pulling wire through guides and stranding heads.\nSecure, install and adjust the proper dies, stranding head, post-former and carboloy rings as required by the order.\nSet the proper lay according to order specifications.\nTwist the new strand together and pick the wires into the proper strand construction.\nAdjust bobbin tension and die pressure at the beginning of the order and as required throughout the entire order.\nInspect and replace tensioning devices as needed.\nMaintain a safe and clean working environment.\nPerform all job duties in accordance with work instructions and quality standards.\nSecond Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00 PM - 3:00 AM. (Schedule subject to change).\n+ Shift Differential, if applicable\n+ Monthly incentive payments after 90-day probationary period\n Required Qualifications\nHigh School Diploma, GED, or ability to demonstrate basic literacy and math proficiency through education, experience, or assessment\nMust have the ability to use and read micrometers, tape measure, feeler gauge, and basic hand tools \nStanding/walking on concrete floors for 12-hour shifts \nPushing/pulling, lifting up to 30 lbs. \nMaterials and Equipment Directly Used\nPersonal protective equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toed safety shoes\nStranding Operators will be required to use JDE TranCollector scan guns to issue and return material from a work order. Scan guns will also be used to record production and print production tags.\nAdditional Information\nMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.\nEmployment is contingent upon successfully completing a post-offer background check.
