The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, AWS cloud services, Kubernetes, microservices architecture, and DevOps practices, along with hands-on experience in CI/CD pipelines and production environments.\nThe candidate should be capable of working independently, translating business requirements into robust and cost-effective technical solutions, contributing to architectural discussions, and mentoring junior engineers while taking ownership of team-level delivery outcomes.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable and reliable software solutions.\n\nTranslate business and technical requirements into robust, cost-effective, and maintainable applications.\n\nDevelop and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Java 11 or higher and microservices architecture.\n\nBuild, deploy, and manage cloud-native applications using AWS services.\n\nImplement and administer Kubernetes-based solutions, including deployment, configuration, scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.\n\nDevelop unit and integration tests using JUnit and follow Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices.\n\nOwn the complete software development lifecycle, including development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and production support.\n\nBuild, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines for production deployments.\n\nParticipate in and lead code reviews, technical discussions, and design decisions to ensure code quality and engineering best practices.\n\nIdentify technical risks, performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and opportunities for continuous improvement.\n\nMentor junior developers and share technical knowledge, coding standards, and best practices.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environments using Scrum or SAFe methodologies.\n\nManage certificate lifecycles and apply security best practices across applications and infrastructure.\n\nTake ownership of team-level deliverables and contribute to improving engineering productivity and delivery capabilities.\n\nRequired Technical Skills\nJava: Strong hands-on experience with Java 11 or higher, object-oriented programming, collections, concurrency, and exception handling.\n\nAWS: Practical experience with Lambda, EC2, ECS, SNS, SQS, IAM, DynamoDB, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, and API Gateway for REST APIs.\n\nKubernetes: Experience building, deploying, administering, and troubleshooting Kubernetes-based applications and environments.\n\nMicroservices: Experience designing, developing, and maintaining distributed systems and microservices-based applications.\n\nTesting: Hands-on experience with JUnit, unit testing, integration testing, and Test-Driven Development.\n\nDevOps and CI/CD: Experience with end-to-end DevOps practices, automated build and deployment pipelines, production releases, monitoring, and troubleshooting.\n\nVersion Control: Proficiency in Git and collaborative development workflows.\n\nCertificate Lifecycle Management: Practical experience with certificate management, renewals, expiration monitoring, and secure certificate deployment.\n\nAgile Methodologies: Experience working in Scrum, SAFe, or similar Agile delivery frameworks.\n\nSecurity: Understanding of application security, IAM, authentication, authorization, encryption, and secure coding practices.\n\nGood-to-Have Skills\nKnowledge of Python 3 or Golang.\n\nExperience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.\n\nHands-on experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot.\n\nExperience with Maven and dependency management.\n\nWorking knowledge of Linux/Unix environments, shell commands, and troubleshooting.\n\nFamiliarity with infrastructure as code, containerization, observability, and cloud security best practices.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n5-8 years of professional experience in software development, primarily using Java.\n\nStrong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.\n\nAbility to work independently and take ownership of complex technical tasks.\n\nExperience delivering, deploying, and supporting applications in production environments.\n\nStrong communication, collaboration, and technical decision-making skills.\n\nDemonstrated ability to contribute to code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and support continuous team improvement.\n\nWhat We Value\nA strong sense of ownership and accountability for individual and team outcomes.\n\nA proactive approach to identifying technical risks and improvement opportunities.\n\nCommitment to code quality, system reliability, performance, and maintainability.\n\nEffective collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.\n\nA practical mindset focused on delivering secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions.\n\nTo join our journey WirelessCar is always on the move, often into uncharted land.
