IT Systems & Support Engineer - APAC  

Reporting To:  Wireless Logic IT Service Desk Manager 

Location:  Singapore 

Department:  Group IT 

Role Purpose  

The IT Systems & Support Engineer - APAC serves as the regional extension of the Wireless Logic IT Service Desk, providing local IT support, systems administration, and security operations support for users across APAC.  

The successful candidate will be working mostly with IT systems and desktop support, IT onboarding and offboarding of employees within the APAC region, This involves the creation of emails accounts, installing devices for staff as per Wireless Logic’s security policy and configuration of those devices according to individual roles of the employee  

Deliverables for this position include being able to set standards in prioritizing different IT business demands, including classifying and recommending time for resolution of tickets, setting up a process on how to automate the set-up of computers pre-loaded with the correct application that is appropriate to the new employee’s individual role, and optimizing available IT enhancements for everyone under Wireless Logic APAC. 

The job scope for this individual is wide, from ensuring the IT security elements are relevant, that the APAC region is compliant with Wireless Logic’s requirements, to prescribing how fast tickets should be completed based on the complexity of the tasks. This successful candidate will also push for longevity planning across APAC in terms of future operating company acquisitions.  

Under Wireless Logic’s competency framework, this is P4 -Advanced role. 

Key Responsibilities  

End User Support (60%)  

• Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support for APAC users 

• Troubleshoot hardware, software, mobile device and connectivity issues 

• Procure, deploy and support laptops and mobile devices 

• Support Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365 and collaboration platforms 

• Manage onboarding, offboarding and employee lifecycle activities 

• Escalate complex issues to Group IT teams where required 

• Maintain IT asset and inventory records 

Microsoft 365 & Systems Administration (20%)  

• User account creation and removal 

• Shared mailbox administration 

• Distribution and security group administration 

• Entra ID user administration 

• MFA administration and troubleshooting 

• Microsoft Teams administration 

• Intune device enrolment and management 

• Endpoint compliance monitoring 

• Support Microsoft 365 projects and migrations 

Office Technology Support (10%)  

• Support office Wi-Fi and local connectivity 

• Support printers and multifunction devices 

• Support meeting room technology and collaboration systems 

• Coordinate local vendors and ISP providers 

• Support office moves, changes and technology deployments 

Regional Security Operations Support (10%)  

• Investigate endpoint security alerts 

• Assist with phishing investigations 

• Support endpoint patching and remediation activities 

• Monitor endpoint compliance and security posture 

• Coordinate local incident response activities 

• Act as APAC liaison to the Group Security team 

• Support security awareness initiatives 

Technical Skills  

• Microsoft 365 Administration 

• Microsoft Entra ID 

• Exchange Online 

• Microsoft Teams Administration 

• Microsoft Intune 

• Microsoft Defender 

• Windows 11 Administration 

• Endpoint troubleshooting 

• Basic networking and Wi-Fi troubleshooting 

• PowerShell (desirable) 

Experience & Qualifications  

• 3-5 years of IT support or systems administration experience 

• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments 

• Experience supporting end users in a multi-site business environment 

• Experience working within a Service Desk or IT Operations function 

• Microsoft certifications desirable 

• ITIL Foundation certification desirable
