This role will report to the Regulatory Product Compliance Lead and is responsible for supporting the team’s work to ensure Wise's US and Canada Regulatory Compliance program is best-in-class, meeting all regulatory obligations, effectively managing regulatory compliance risk, and scaling to enable continued growth.\nThis is a unique opportunity to directly impact Wise’s mission, whilst developing your skills in a fast-paced environment. You will cut through complexity to make high-stakes decisions, build momentum across multiple teams, and coach others to deliver exceptional results.\nJob Responsibilities:\nCollaborate with product managers and engineers to develop new products and features for NorthAmerica, and ensure an effective risk assessment considering all regulatory compliance risks are adequately reviewed and assessed prior to launch\n\nWorking knowledge with either state money transmission licensing requirements related to Permissible Investments, Regulatory Reporting;\n\nOr Consumer Compliance Regulations (e.g. Regulation E, UDAAP, California Consumer Protection Act), Privacy (GLBA), and applicable state privacy and consumer protection regulations.\nSupport the issue management process by updating status of issues and developing action plans for closure, and ensure that all artifacts are properly retained to evidence closure.\n\nProactively identify ways to improve controls, reduce unnecessary customer friction, and enable continued growth.\n\nSupport Regulatory Product Compliance Lead with execution of quarterly regulatory compliance risk assessment and preparation of any materials required for the applicable boards and NorthAm Leadership meetings.\n\n You have a minimum 2-4 years of experience in regulatory compliance, with a particular focus on implementing and enhancing controls.\nYou have experience collaborating with product and engineering teams to develop regulatory compliance controls that consider the customer’s journey.\n\nYou have a strong ability to analyze and interpret complex regulatory frameworks and explain them clearly to stakeholders.\n\nYou are a problem-solver who uses regulations and data to drive business decisions.\n\nYou have experience working across cross border payments, with specific experience in the US and Canadian markets.\n\nYou have strong data analytics skills and have used them to develop/inform Key Risk Indicators to articulate the health of the consumer compliance program.\n\nYou are willing to travel to Wise offices located across different countries.\n\nYou are legally authorized to work in the US.\n\n For everyone, everywhere.
