We are working to become listed in the US stock exchange in 2026 and need to ensure our accounting function is set-up to meet the respective regulatory requirements.\nWe’re looking for a finance accountant to join us\nWise is looking for a Finance Accountant to join our General Accounting team in Tallinn, Estonia. The General Accounting team is part of the Finance Tribe and is responsible for the financial deliverables for all entities in Wise Group. Working closely with Product, Controlling, Analytics, Risk and Controls and other Finance teams, you will be responsible for accounting processes ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting as well as taking part in new accounting projects and initiatives.\nYour mission\nActively participate in month-end activities, mainly focusing on cost of good sold accruals, investments accounting and other product related adjustments. Collaborate with various finance and other teams to gain an understanding of transactions and calculate accurate accruals for the month-end.\n\nCollaborate with risk & controls to ensure SOX compliance in own domain.\n\nManage and maintain high-quality documentation for all manual calculation\n\nprocesses and entries created.\nEngage in numerous improvement projects aimed at making accounting processes more reliable, efficient and automated.\n\nParticipate in the external audit by responding to external auditors’ questions and information requests.\n\nAssist in the preparation of group-wide consolidated financial statements.\n\n A bit about you:\nAt least 3 years of experience in accounting, financial controlling or audit.\n\nGood understanding of the core accounting principles.\n\nGood collaboration skills.\n\nAdvanced data processing skills (expert in Excel is a must, SQL would be an advantage), and the ability to understand complex spreadsheets and create efficient, reliable calculations with built-in controls, easy scaling and updating capabilities. Experience working with large volumes of data.\n\nAccurate and detail oriented. Enjoy owning your work and taking charge of projects when needed. Keen to roll up your sleeves and get the job done.\n\nGood written and verbal English skills.\n\nNice to have:\nUS GAAP and/or IFRS knowledge.\n\nYou have worked in a multinational environment across different cultures and countries.\n\nYou have worked in regulated environments, Fintech or Financial Services.\n\n Salary for the role - 2800 to 3500 EUR (+RSU')\nFor everyone, everywhere.
