Full speed.\nWhether people and businesses are sending money to another country, spending abroad, or making and receiving international payments, Wise is on a mission to make their lives easier and save them money.\nAs part of our team, you will be helping us create an entirely new network for the world's money.\nFor everyone, everywhere.\nMore about our mission and what we offer.\nJob Description\nWe’re looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer to join our growing team in Austin, Texas.\nThe Wise Platform team works with financial institutions and major tech companies at a global level to offer Wise products and services directly to their customers through our API.\nSolutions Engineers make it happen by working with partners to build integrations to our class-leading international finance products, while improving Wise Platform by increasing the capabilities of our public API. The team’s goals are to drive the growth of Wise through partnerships and integrations by creating a world class product set delivered through third parties.\nAs part of this role, you will\nProvide technical consulting and product guidance to banks and other partners integrating Wise, primarily post-sale\n\nEnsure partners deliver the best integration within their constraints for an excellent customer experience\n\nAssist partners in the implementation phase, defining technical solutions and documenting requirements\n\nSupport business development by aiding larger partners requiring novel features, including technical scoping and feature design.\n\nParticipate in feature definition, prioritisation, and long-term strategy planning with the Wise Platform team\n\nCollaborate with Implementation Managers, Product Managers, and Engineers, making product and project decisions\n\nDesign and develop new features for Wise services and expose them on the public API when needed\n\nWork on scaling Wise Platform into new regions, overcoming associated challenges\n\nImprove integration experience through documentation, APIs, SDKs, code samples, and reference implementations\n\nCollaborate with the technical presales team to support the sales cycle and secure new partnerships\n\nEnhance internal processes to handle multiple integrations in parallel\n\nTroubleshoot, test, and resolve technical issues, aiding the API support team with complex problems\n\nThis role will give you the opportunity to\nChoose your own path to success - you’ll have the freedom to define the vision and responsibility for making it happen\n\nIdentify problems and unlock opportunities for Wise and partners through technology solutions\n\nInspire other teams internally and externally with your ideas, knowledge and self-starter attitude\n\nTravel to work with our teams in Tallinn, London, and New York, as well as visit our partners across North America\n\nQualifications\nStrong problem-solving and organisational skills, able to handle ambiguity and competing priorities.\n\nFamiliarity with common design patterns and architectural principles, including domain-driven design (DDD), event-driven architecture (EDA), and microservices architecture.\n\nFamiliarity with Java (Spring), Kubernetes, AWS, and service mesh architectures and technologies such as RESTful APIs, API design, Swagger, OpenAPI, and OAuth2.\n\nFamiliarity and working experience with relational databases (e.g.MySQL, PostgreSQL) and non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).\n\nAt least 6+ years in customer-facing engineering roles ideally within financial services or similar domain (e.g. solutions engineer, IT consultant, partner engineer, integration engineer, solutions consultant).\n\nClear communication and strong interpersonal skills.\n\nCustomer centric approach.\n\nAbility to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences and work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver projects.\n\nStrong self-management skills are essential, including the ability to manage individual projects and deals effectively.
