Warehouse Associate 1 in this job performs a range of general and specific warehouse tasks that can be easily learned on the job, such as receiving, stocking, assembling, staging, loading, and unloading products.\nPackage finished product for shipping (Shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling).\nStages finished product for loading.\nCheck purchase orders/ work orders to ensure that products are correctly assembled and ready for delivery.\nCheck items to ensure that the correct number of products is being assembled.\nAssists in inventory level maintenance and inventory counts.\nLoad the finished product onto the truck.\nUnload products from trucks, containers, and stock them in the designated area.\nResponsible for quality control. Ensure that no damaged products are sent out, and no damaged products will be stored.\nOperate the pallet jack within standard operating procedures.\nPerform preventive maintenance on palette jacks.\nPerform on-the-job training for new employees.\nHandle inventory movement into and out of controlled locations.\nPrepare customers’ orders for delivery.\nProvide fill-in support for other departments in the warehouse.\nOther duties as assigned.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Ability\nMust be able to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under various time constraints. \nKnowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of the warehouse environment.\nThe incumbent should be able to follow written and/or oral instructions\nCorrectly follow a given rule or set of rules to arrange things or actions in a certain order;\nRequire considerable and strenuous physical exertion so incumbents should be able to lift heavy objects over 50 pounds.\nAbility to operate material handler equipment proficiently.\nAbility to read, speak, and write in English.\nPhysically strong, agile, dexterous, and undeterred by heights and adverse climatic conditions.\nPositive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance.\nAvailable to work extended hours.\nWorking Conditions: Some Warehouse Associates will spend time in the warehouse's refrigerated (Cooler and Freezer) section. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment, including but not limited to steel-toed boots.
