More openings to come as we continue to grow the team!\nPlease read below for a brilliant career opportunity.\nSenior DevOps Engineer – Data Protection Services (Cyber)\nClient: Tier-1 Investment Bank, Cyber Division, Data Protection Services\nPositions: 2\nLocation: Glasgow, UK (client office, hybrid at manager discretion)\nExperience: 6+ years in infrastructure or DevOps, with at least 3 years in security or data protection tooling\nRole summary\nHands-on DevOps engineer in the bank's Cyber Data Protection team. You will engineer, automate and scale the platforms that discover, classify and protect sensitive data across the enterprise, and onboard new data protection tools into the bank's global ecosystem.\nKey responsibilities\nEngineer and operate data scanning platforms covering file shares, SharePoint/O365, databases and cloud storage.\nRapidly prototype and evaluate new data protection tools, and take the chosen ones through to production.\nIntegrate tools with the enterprise ecosystem, including AD/LDAP, SIEM, ticketing (ServiceNow) and the CMDB.\nAutomate deployment, configuration, upgrades and patching of scanning infrastructure.\nBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines for tooling and policy deployments.\nMonitor scan coverage, performance and failures, and tune the platforms for scale.\nSupport DLP and classification policy rollout with the Cyber and business teams.\nTake part in design and code reviews.\nKeep all work aligned with security policy, regulatory requirements and the risk control framework.\nShare knowledge across global teams and contribute to monthly status reporting.\nMust-have skills\nStrong Windows Server and Linux administration in a large enterprise.\nAutomation using Python and PowerShell.\nConfiguration management and infrastructure-as-code with Ansible and/or Terraform.\nCI/CD and Git, using Jenkins, GitLab or Azure DevOps.\nIntegrating systems through REST APIs, with working knowledge of AD/LDAP and service accounts.\nUnderstanding of data protection concepts: DLP, data discovery and classification, data at rest versus data in motion.\nOperating in a regulated environment, including change management and audit evidence.\nGood-to-have skills\nHands-on with one or more data protection platforms: Microsoft Purview, Symantec/Broadcom DLP, BigID, Varonis, Netskope, or a classification tool such as Titus or Boldon James.\nSIEM and logging with Splunk or ELK.\nDocker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.\nAzure or AWS, particularly scanning storage and SaaS.\nPrior experience in the cyber function of a bank or other BFSI organisation.\nCertifications such as CISSP, Security+, or a vendor certification for any of the platforms above.\nSchedule: Monday to Friday\nWork Mode: Hybrid\nJob Type: Full-time\nWe are: A high end technical consulting firm built and run by highly qualified technologists.
