If your answer is “yes,” then you belong at Ambipar.\nField Technician\nPosition Summary\nThe Field Technician is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support field operations, including equipment operation, hazardous and non-hazardous waste management, and site remediation. This position requires adherence to safety protocols, physical endurance, and flexibility in scheduling to accommodate emergency response and overtime work as needed.\nPosition Details\nReports to: Project Supervisor\nLocation: On-Site\nPosition Type: Full-Time\nFLSA Status: Non-Exempt\nPay: Hourly\nTravel: Up to 40%\nEssential Job Functions\nSafely operate equipment and vehicles in compliance with company policies and procedures.\nBe available for on-call emergency response services, including:Clean-up of hazardous and non-hazardous waste spills\nSite remediation efforts\nWaste management tasks\n\nPerform confined space entry and tank cleaning tasks as required, following safety guidelines and protocols.\nBe available for overtime and out-of-town assignments as requested to meet operational needs.\nEngage in strenuous physical activities, including lifting and moving heavy equipment and materials, while adhering to safety standards.\nAccurately complete and submit time sheets, vehicle logs, and other required documentation in a timely manner.\nMaintain cleanliness and organization in and around the office, yards, warehouses, and trucks to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.\nHandle, package, and transport hazardous materials according to regulatory guidelines.\nConduct site assessments to identify potential environmental hazards.\nAssist in the proper labeling, storage, and documentation of hazardous waste.\nUse field instruments to monitor hazardous material levels and ensure compliance with safety standards.\nParticipate in regular safety training, including hazmat handling and emergency response drills.\nEnsure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to hazardous materials and waste.\nOther duties as assigned.\nMinimum Job Requirements\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nValid driver’s license with no restrictions.\nAbility to obtain and maintain certifications required for confined space entry and hazardous material handling.\nStrong commitment to safety and compliance.\nExcellent physical stamina and the ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labor.\nFlexibility to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.\nStrong organizational and time management skills.\nPreferred Job Requirements\nBilingual proficiency is strongly preferred\nPrevious experience in hazardous waste management, spill response, or a related field.\nFamiliarity with operating and maintaining field equipment.\nBasic knowledge of environmental regulations and safety protocols.\nWork Environment\nThis position involves work in various environments, including hazardous conditions, confined spaces, and outdoor settings.
