Every one of us, whether behind the wheel, on the tools, or shaping strategy behind the scenes, is helping build a better Aotearoa.\nWe all pull together on this waka and if you want work that matters, with people who’ve got your back, you’re in the right place.\n The role you’ll play\nAs our Despatch Coordinator, you’ll be at the centre of our day-to-day operations, connecting our customer service teams, operational teams and drivers.\nYou’ll coordinate job allocations, monitor routes and respond quickly when plans change. Whether it’s rescheduling a missed collection, managing an overloaded bin or keeping a customer updated about a delay, you’ll use sound judgement and clear communication to find the best solution.\nThis is a fast-paced role where no two days are the same. Your ability to stay calm, make decisions and keep everyone informed will help us deliver a reliable and seamless service to our customers.\nKey responsibilities\nCoordinate daily job allocations and callout work.\nMonitor rolled, rejected and delayed jobs and take prompt action.\nCommunicate with customers regarding delays, service issues and changes.\nReview routes and assist with sequencing to improve efficiency and productivity.\nWork closely with drivers, operations, sales and customer service teams.\nManage correspondence and respond within agreed service levels.\nComplete financial confirmations and investigate pricing, disposal-rate and weight exceptions.\nSupport reporting, purchase orders, data entry, weighbridge lodgements and end-of-month activities.\nHelp achieve our delivery-in-full, on-time targets.\nIdentify opportunities to improve fuel efficiency and reduce our carbon footprint.\n What you’ll need\nYou’ll be a confident communicator who enjoys solving problems and working with a wide range of people.
