Job Summary\nThe Environmental Specialist II Cruise Ship Operations is a technician Driver whom be responsible for providing industry leading levels of service to clients in the most professional way, ensuring that customers' needs are met on a continual basis for various type of waste pickup and supply delivery. Provides the highest level of customer service possible at all times. This involves loading and unloading the delivery vehicle and ensuring that all cargo is safely secured before transport. Will also transport waste stream from either a Stericycle location or customer location to a transfer location or processing location. DOT rules and regulations must be upheld at all times. All Company assigned vehicles are equipped with camera telematics which includes inside and outside cameras. In addition, all vehicles are equipped with ELD (electronic logging device) and GPS (global positioning system).\nII. Essential Duties and Responsibilities\nDriver will manage assigned routes ensuring customers' regulated waste is picked up in a safe, timely, efficient, and accurate manner.\nProvides services related to managing of hazardous, non-hazardous, and regulated waste according to local, state, and federal (DOT and EPA) guidelines.\nDriver will be responsible for the completion all the pertaining documentation in order to meet local, state, and federal regulations as required.\nEnsures that customers have packed and prepared their waste according to local, state, and federal guidelines before transporting it to our facilities.\nPerforms daily pre/post trip truck inspections according to our company safety policy and DOT guidelines.\nConstant and daily communication is required with Stericycle Supervisor who will review the designated routes for any possible pick up schedule updates, physical address, and any other customer service related changes.\nEnsures that waste, supplies, and material handling equipment are properly strapped and secured before leaving the yard or the customer's facilities.\nReports any maintenance/mechanical problems to the Supervisor before operating our commercial vehicles.\nPerforms other duties and responsibilities assigned to the driver.\nIII. Qualifications\nA. Required Qualifications\n3+ years preferably in driving a commercial motor vehicle or 18 and/or 24 Foot box trucks, vacuum trucks, roll-off flatbed, and tractors to move trailers from landfills or ports.\nMust be 21 years of age or older\nAble to read, write, and speak English well enough to interact with the public, understand traffic signs, respond to official questions, and complete records or reports\n(CDL)-Class B Cat 8 or above, with an excellent driving record.\nTransportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Endorsement\nAll CMV/CDL drivers must be able to obtain a medical card by a certified medical examiner.\nB. Preferred Qualifications\nHigh School Diploma\nTWIC card, OSHA HAZWOPER Training, Hazmat endorsement, and experience with vacuum trucks (industrial vacuum loader), roll-off, box trucks, and tractor-trailer combination.\n(CDL)-Class B with HazMat Endorsement\nIV.
