Executes an effective preventive maintenance program to minimize unscheduled down time.\nMaintains all operating equipment in satisfactory condition. Schedules needed repair to have minimum interference.\nConsults with other departments regarding desirable modifications of existing equipment and facilities and the possible replacement of existing equipment which will improve operations and reduce maintenance costs.\nMay coordinates the efficient operation of facilities with project engineers.\nCoordinates and oversees the efficient maintenance of all plant transportation equipment.\nAnalyzes cost studies equipment in the department designed to secure reduced operating costs. Makes recommendations thereon to the Plant Manager.\nDevelops objectives and standards of performance for projects within the Maintenance Department required to meet departmental, divisional and corporate goals and objectives.\nPlans and provides for an adequate supply and ensures control over spare parts and maintenance supplies.\nQualifications\nA. Required Qualifications\nHigh School Diploma or G.E.D. (accredited)\n4 years of relevant work experience (in addition to education requirement)\nB. Preferred Qualifications\nExperience with CMMS-based maintenance management, preventive/predictive maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, root cause analysis and reliability improvement preferred\n\nExperience with industrial material-handling and production equipment, including conveyors, screens, balers, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, motors, gearboxes, bearings and related rotating equipment preferred.\n\nExperience supervising and providing technical leadership to a team of maintenance technicians in an industrial/corporate environment; experience supervising in a unionized environment preferred.\n\nWorks a regular 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM schedule to support effective shift handoffs and maintenance coverage, with flexibility to support other shifts and operational needs as required.\n\nProvides safety leadership for maintenance activities and ensures compliance with applicable LOTO and safe work procedures.\n\nUtilizes the CMMS to plan, prioritize, document and track preventive and corrective maintenance activities, while coordinating maintenance priorities and equipment status with Operations.\n\nEnsures preventive inspections and corrective repairs meet or exceed company standards, including identification of root causes and implementation of corrective actions to improve equipment reliability and minimize unplanned downtime.\n\nProvides leadership, technical guidance and maintenance training to MRF Maintenance Technicians, including hands-on troubleshooting support during complex equipment breakdowns and recurring failures.\n\nIV. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for bonus.
