The ideal candidate will move beyond execution into defining test strategies, setting quality standards, improving automation coverage, and driving cross-team quality advocacy.\n\nCore Responsibilities :\n\n- Analyze functional and non-functional requirements and clarify ambiguities early.\n\n- Define, maintain, and prioritize test plans (positive, negative, edge, regression).\n\n- Design reusable test cases and suites; keep them versioned and traceable.\n\n- Set up pipelines/tasks for scalability and benchmarking to review different environments/conditions.\n\n- Execute tests: manual (exploratory, UX, edge) and automated (API, UI, integration).\n\n- Log clear, reproducible defects (steps, environment, evidence, impact).\n\n- Verify fixes, manage defect lifecycle, and prevent reopens via root cause analysis.\n\n- Contribute to performance, load, reliability, and basic security test coverage.\n\n- Maintain test data, environments, and baseline health checks.\n\n- Track and report quality metrics (defect density, pass rate, automation %, MTTR).\n\n- Collaborate with Dev/Product teams on release readiness (go/no-go signals).\n\n- Improve and refactor existing tests to reduce flakiness and execution time.\n\n- Participate in design reviews with a \"testability\" lens.\n\n- Participate in comparative studies for different approaches/platforms.\n\nKey Outcomes :\n\n- Defects caught pre-release increase; post-production escapes trend down.\n\n- Automation coverage % (critical paths) increases sprint over sprint.\n\n- Flaky test rate reduced and tracked.\n\n- Consistent, documented test standards adopted across teams.\n\n- Release confidence improved (shorter stabilization window).\n\n- Clear actionables from comparative studies and/or observed insights driving product stability and reliability.\n\nRequired Skills :\n\n- 1 - 3 years of experience with testing.\n\n- Solid understanding of software testing principles (functional, regression, boundary, exploratory).\n\n- Experience with UI automation (Playwright / Selenium / Cypress).\n\n- Familiarity with low-code automation tools like Cucumber, BugBug, BrowserStack, etc.\n\n- Hands-on experience with at least one automation framework (API or UI).\n\n- Competent in scripting (Python or JavaScript) for test creation/utilities.\n\n- Able to design clear, reproducible defect reports with impact context.\n\n- Working knowledge of REST API testing (Postman/Newman, curl, or pytest requests).\n\n- Familiar with Git, branching, PR workflows, and CI basics (GitHub Actions/GitLab/Jenkins).\n\nNice to Have :\n\n- Experience with UI automation (Playwright / Selenium / Cypress).\n\n- Exposure to performance/load tools (k6, Locust, JMeter).\n\n- Basic container and service debugging (Docker logs, health probes).\n\n- Familiarity with contract testing (e.g., Pact) or schema validation.\n\n- Knowledge of observability signals (logs, metrics, basic tracing) for
