Think Safe.\nIntegrity - Do the right thing. \nAccountability - We do what we say.\nContinuous Improvement - Get better every day. \nCollaboration - Stronger together.\nDevelopment - Invested in people.\n As a Leader at Wohlsen you will:You will promote and protect Wohlsen’ s values and vision through your conduct, decision making, and the development and management of your team. \nYou will maintain and grow long-term “Raving Fan” client relationships. \nLead all aspects of business development within your region; capacity to lead and present successful proposals and ability to find new, profitable work opportunities. \nEnsure all operations meet Wohlsen’ s Safety standards; embrace and lead by example. \nFinancially you will negotiate contracts, study the regional P&L statements, be adept at regional budget planning and be aware of regional performance metrics and react accordingly. \nYou will work with the Regional Senior Vice President to grow the region. \nResponsible for revenue, profit, awards, and backlog annual goals for your region. \nManage entire business development effort within your region. \nProvide general and/or specific construction knowledge and problem-solving skills. \nProvide construction input and knowledge in the development of project plans including the purchasing of trade contracts. \nManages formulation, administration, and maintenance of regional goals, both short and long term along with budgets and any other regional objectives identified in the annual VTO. \nReviews analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine progress toward goals and objectives; where necessary, see the course corrections are made to assure achievement of annual plan and goals.\nEnsure the region complies with all Wohlsen financial controls and policies. \nWorking with the VP of Construction to drive project teams to execute all phases of construction (including pre-construction, completive bidding, team selection, construction, commission, and project closeout) in such a way that each client is a raving fan of Wohlsen. \nEnsure regional office is properly staffed; manage all team members regarding employment, performance ratings, reviews, promotions, salary recommendations, transfers, and terminations.Evaluate and manage performance reviews for your team. Seek out input from others and provide feedback and coaching to manage individuals as well as the team.\nDevelop, implement, and promote a team-oriented environment through positive feedback. \nAssure that regional team members have professional development opportunities so that they may become candidates for succession in various regional leadership roles.\nRelationshipsReports to the Regional SVP\nSupervise the regional team\nWohlsen Team Members\nClients, subcontractors, architects, engineering firms\nAccountability\nProfit and Revenue budget attainment for the Region. \nTeam Member Safety Results\nRegional Business Development Awards goal attainment\nCreate Raving Fans in each client.\nQualificationsBachelor’s degree in construction management, business administration \n10-15 years of experience in management role required 15 to 20 years preferred.\nOSHA 30 Certified \nValid Driver’s License and ability to travel including overnight travel. \nAbility to work additional hours as needed.\nMinimum 15 years of construction leadership experience. \nProficiency with Microsoft Office software systems, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nPhysical Requirements\nIn a normal day, this position requires 1-4 hours standing and walking. In a normal day, the team member must be able to sit for 7+ hours. In a normal day, the team member must be able to drive 1-4 hours. Team member must be able to lift/carry up to 10 lbs. maximum; occasionally carry small objects. The team member must be able to use his/her upper extremities for reparative simple grasping and fine manipulation.
