Here’s the Gist:
You will lead an operations team at Wolfspeed’s Durham Manufacturing Site in North Carolina. The Operations Supervisor oversees each aspect of the production process; trains and supports staff and provides vital information on production goals. Your leadership will set the tone for the team’s success. Finally, Safety for your team and product are a vital responsibility.
This position will be a Night Shift schedule.
The Day-to-Day:
- Maintain a safe working environment for all employees
- Maintain leadership presence by spending at least 80% of your time interacting on the floor
- Monitor team and individual performance. Evaluate and improve productivity, equipment utilization and overall efficiency
- Support 5S activities across the entire floor
- Establish and communicate production priorities. Track performance and adjust priorities accordingly
- Initiate, encourage, and drive continuous improvement efforts
- Provide team with constructive and timely feedback. Enforce company and local policies and procedures.
- Maintain positive working relationships with all levels in the organization.
This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):
- Associate degree or higher in related field
- Manufacturing experience with 1-2+ years in a leadership role, preferred manufacturing experience as a front-line supervisor (3-5 years) or relevant military experience
- Passion to inspire and develop employees while working in a dynamic, fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing environment.
- Ability to handle change quickly and efficiently - Fast paced work environment
