There are many ways to get involved, from Employee Resource Groups to local outreach.\nWho we’re looking for:\nWolfspeed’s Epi Equipment Engineering and Maintenance team is seeking an Equipment Technician to perform preventative and proactive maintenance tasks on production equipment at our Silicon Drive Durham, NC location. Equipment Technicians interact directly with operations, process, equipment engineering, and other groups to meet department and Wolfspeed goals. Candidates working in this area must exhibit and maintain safe working practices. The ideal candidate for these positions are individuals who are looking to gain hands-on mechanical and electrical experience.\nThis posting is for a position that will directly support operations at the Silicon Drive Durham, NC location.\nWafer Operations Equipment Technicians will support a 12-hour manufacturing day or night shift on a Front End or Back End shift pattern. The working hours are from 6:45 AM - 7:00 PM for dayshift or 6:45 PM - 7:00 AM for nightshift. We are currently filling positions on the following shift(s):\nFront End Days (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, every other Wednesday)\nFront End Nights (Every other Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday)\nBack End Days (Every other Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday)\nBack End Nights (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, every other Saturday)\nThe Day-to-Day:\nPerform routine preventive maintenance on tools in accordance with equipment specifications\nMaintain detailed records of any maintenance performed through paper and electronic checklists\nDisassemble and reassemble equipment according to operating manuals, schematics, blueprints, etc.\nUse test and diagnostic equipment to perform equipment checks\nConsistently perform repeatable tasks to improve up-time or overall equipment performance (as needed), including changing filters, o-rings/seals, brushes and other consumables\nSupport the company’s 5S program for a safe, clean, and organized manufacturing area\nEquipment spare parts support (repair and replacement part delivery, etc.)\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to wear a respirator, including successful completion of any required medical evaluation and fit testing.\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds to chest height.\nAbility to push and pull up to 50 pounds.\nAbility to stand for extended periods, including shifts exceeding 8 hours.\nAbility to periodically kneel, bend, and work in confined spaces as required.\nAbility to climb ladders and stairs.\nThis Job is Right for You if You Have:\nHigh school education or GED\nWorking familiarity of electrical systems with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and maintenance manuals\nMechanical aptitude\nPreferred Qualifications:\nSecondary education - technical school, electrical background\nThis role may require additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.\nThis role requires the lawful ability to access technical data, information, and areas controlled by United States export control laws and regulations.
