Series B backed by a16z, Goldman Sachs, and First Round.\nThe Role\nOwn the engineering behind a payments platform that processes at least $3 billion through our platform, working alongside a small, dedicated team. We move money across banking, debit cards, Stripe, SAP, partner advances, and payroll, we run our own billing platform, and we lean on third-party partners for most of our fintech capabilities, so much of this is integration, orchestration, and tracking work. There is a lot to build here. You will consolidate and refactor a system built across many legacy integrations into something clean, reliable, and fast, and you will spend a lot of time directly with customers.\nWhat You'll Do\nBuild alongside a dedicated payments team: consolidate and refactor a payments system assembled from many legacy system integrations\nBuild and maintain integrations across banking, debit cards, Stripe, SAP, partner advances, payroll, and our billing platform\nOwn the orchestration and tracking/reconciliation layer across our third-party fintech partners\nDesign for correctness first, because money movement demands it\nWork directly with customers to understand real-world failure modes and edge cases\nPartner daily with product to build, ship, measure, and iterate\nBuild within the laws and regulations governing payments and financial services\nWho You Are\nSenior engineer with a strong payments background and real experience building payment systems and integrations (fintech a plus)\nExceptionally high attention to detail; strong finance background is a plus\nExcited to be close to the build and close to customers\nLikes working on a small team and moving fast; bias toward action\nComfortable with the regulatory landscape around payments, banking, and cards\nUses AI tools and figures things out independently\nCompensation & Benefits\nBase salary: Competitive market rate\n Equity: Significant, meaningful ownership\nFull health coverage\nWellness stipend (gym and office)\nTravel stipend for certain circumstances\nApplication\nApply with your resume and a short note on the most complex payments or integration system you have built.\nThis is a full-commitment, full-ownership role, based in our San Francisco office.
