You will be employed by a third-party legal entity authorized to do business in the location in which you reside and you will provide contractual services to Wonolo’s Legal Operations team. As a Specialist on the W2 Payroll team, you will be at the forefront of Wonolo’s W2 operations by supporting and executing worker payroll workflows. Accuracy and speed of execution are critical due to the weekly nature of W2 payroll processing. The team’s area of expertise lies in complex programs to support Wonoloers in the marketplace. If this is who you are or you can and desperately want to be, please read on!\nWe welcome qualified candidates located anywhere in the Philippines #LI-Remote.\nWhat you'll do:\nBecome an expert on W2 payroll, the Wonoloer experience, and processes that support W2 workers\nBecome an expert with our internal tools Zeal, Wonolo Wizard, and Hypertrack, and drive improvements to our SLAs with rapid execution\nEnsure all data is accurate when onboarding/adding workers into the payroll system\nValidate payroll hours, perform time reconciliation, and analyze payroll entries to ensure payroll is accurately completed every Wednesday for all W2 workers\nContact workers over email & SMS to verify meal breaks\nProcess bonuses, manage sick leave, and handle other payroll-related adjustments\nReport bugs and help coordinate solutions with stakeholders across Tech, Service Operations, Enablement, Finance, and Central Ops\nRespond promptly to payroll support inquiries or discrepancies flagged by other departments, ensuring that the information provided is accurate\nCollaborate with the team to set goals for ongoing efficiency and process quality improvements\nPromote strong team morale and conduct, including high engagement levels and schedule adherence\nPerform other duties to support W2 operations as assigned\nIdentify workflows that are still manual and rebuild them to be AI-native, focusing on where AI can improve speed, personalization, or conversion outcomes\nWho you are:\n5+ years of accounting experience, including cash management and reconciliations\nAnalytical mind with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.\nProficient in MS office with advanced Excel skills (e.g. Vlookup/Xlookup, Pivot Tables, Arrays)\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments.\nAbility to thrive in a dynamic environment, change priorities quickly\nA strong enthusiasm for continuous learning and professional development.\nDemonstrated commitment to process improvement and operational efficiency\nHands-on experience with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini)\nIf you have read up to this point, we hope you are excited about this opportunity to work at Wonolo!
