This opportunity is hybrid and based in Calgary, Alberta.\nThe Role\nWood is seeking an Intermediate Instrumentation & Controls Engineer / Technologist to support the execution of a variety of projects within our Projects Canada business. The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team delivering instrumentation and control solutions across a broad range of industrial projects.\nSupporting projects through the full project lifecycle, including Studies, Design Basis Memoranda (DBM), Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), and Detailed Design, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative engineering solutions while working closely with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.\nOur Clients and Projects\nDesigning the future. We are committed to ensuring fairness and inclusivity by relying on the expertise of professional recruiters for application reviews, interviews, and qualification assessments.\n * Assure compliance with engineering procedures and quality control standards.\n* Interface effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams and equipment suppliers.\n* Specify, select, and size field instrumentation, including pressure, temperature, flow, and level measurement devices, control valves, on/off valves, and pressure safety valves (PSVs).\n* Prepare and review instrument deliverables, including instrument indexes, I/O lists, load lists, and related documentation.\n* Develop material take-offs (MTOs).\n* Support the selection and procurement of control systems hardware, including DCS, PLC, and Fire & Gas Systems.\n* Prepare and review instrument loop diagrams, control cabinet designs, and wiring documentation.\n* Perform squad checks of vendor data and drawings from other disciplines.\n* Provide instrumentation and controls input to P&ID development.\n* Develop the instrumentation and controls technical content of assigned project work.\n* Maintain regular communication with equipment vendors and suppliers.\n* Prepare Material Requisitions (MRs), Technical Bid Evaluations (TBEs), and award recommendations for instrumentation and controls equipment.\n What makes you remarkable?\nAt Wood, we are committed to equal opportunities and welcome all talented professionals to consider joining our team.
