Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, this role is responsible for leading all project planning and scheduling activities across the project lifecycle, from studies and FEED through execution, commissioning and handover.\nWood APAC Minerals & Metals team is currently delivering critical metals projects, including Copper, Gold Nickel, Lithium, Vanadium, Rare Earths, and Base Metals. This portfolio of projects ranges from scoping studies through to EPCM packages working on developments in Australia and internationally.\n#LI-Hybrid or #LI-Remote\n As the planning lead, you will provide leadership and technical direction for planning resources while developing and maintaining integrated project schedules that support effective forecasting, risk management, decision-making and successful project delivery.\nWorking in studies and projects, the focus of your role will be to create delivery excellence across any assigned project portfolio, provide certainty and confidence to the client(s) and maintaining robust control of project schedule, progress and risk.\nAs a key part of our team, you will undertake the following duties, which will not be limited to:\nLead and coordinate all project planning and scheduling activities across assigned projects.\nProvide leadership, mentoring and technical guidance to planners within the project team.\nDevelop, maintain and control integrated project schedules throughout all project phases.\nConsolidate contractor, subcontractor and vendor schedules into the master project schedule.\nEstablish and maintain project planning procedures, standards and reporting frameworks.\nConduct schedule quality reviews and schedule health assessments.\nPerform schedule forecasting, trend analysis and what-if scenario modelling.\nDevelop mitigation and recovery schedules.\nDevelop and maintain progress measurement systems and earned value reporting.\nFacilitate schedule risk workshops and support schedule risk analysis.\nPresent schedule status, forecasts and recovery strategies to clients and senior leadership.\nWork closely with cost control, risk management and project management teams to provide integrated project controls reporting.\n Extensive experience in project planning and scheduling within mining, minerals processing, or energy sector.\nDemonstrated experience leading planning functions medium to large-scale capital projects. \nAdvanced Primavera P6 capability.\nStrong understanding of critical path methodology, forecasting and project controls principles.\nExcellent leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills\nValid working rights within Australia\nWood encourages women and Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to apply\nBenefits on joining #TeamWood\nWood is at the forefront of engineering solutions for a net zero future.
