The role supports detailed engineering activities within the Central Engineering Division, ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant instrumentation systems in line with project specifications, ADNOC standards, and offshore execution requirements. The position plays a key role in coordinating across disciplines to ensure seamless integration of instrumentation and control systems within complex offshore facilities.\nDevelop and review instrumentation and control engineering deliverables for offshore oil and gas facilities, including jackets, topsides, decks, modules, and support systems\nPrepare and review instrument index, I/O lists, instrument data sheets, specifications, installation details, hook-up drawings, and material requisitions\nDevelop and review control system architecture, instrument location plans, cable schedules, termination diagrams, loop diagrams, and cause-and-effect charts\nEnsure all instrumentation designs comply with ADNOC standards, international codes, project specifications, and applicable safety requirements\nCoordinate closely with process, piping, mechanical, electrical, structural, telecom, and safety disciplines to ensure integrated and clash-free designs\nReview vendor documentation, technical bids, instrument data, and supplier drawings for compliance with project requirements\nParticipate in HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, design reviews, 3D model reviews, and other technical workshops with stakeholders and clients\nSupport the selection and specification of field instruments, control valves, shutdown valves, analyzers, fire and gas devices, and associated instrumentation systems\nEnsure appropriate consideration of hazardous area classification, offshore environmental conditions, maintainability, accessibility, and installation requirements\nAssist in resolving technical queries, site clarifications, design changes, and construction-related issues during project execution\nReview and approve engineering deliverables prepared by junior engineers and designers, ensuring technical accuracy and adherence to project standards\nProvide technical guidance and mentoring to junior instrumentation engineers and designers\nSupport procurement, fabrication, installation, commissioning, and start-up activities where required\nEnsure timely delivery of instrumentation engineering deliverables in line with project schedules and milestones\nSupport interface management between engineering teams, vendors, offshore construction teams, and commissioning personnel.\n What makes you remarkable\nAt Wood, we are committed to equal opportunities and welcome all talented individuals to consider joining our team. discipline\nMinimum 15 years of experience in instrumentation and control engineering within the oil and gas industry\nProven experience working on ADNOC offshore projects or similar Middle East offshore developments is highly preferred\nStrong experience in detailed design engineering for offshore oil and gas facilities, including topsides, jackets, modules, platforms, and brownfield modifications\nExtensive knowledge of instrumentation systems, control systems, safety instrumented systems, fire and gas systems, and industrial communication networks\nProficiency in engineering tools and platforms such as SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI), AVEVA Instrumentation, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Navisworks, and related design and document management systems\nSound understanding of international codes and standards, including ISA, IEC, API, NFPA, and relevant ADNOC engineering standards\nExperience with instrument sizing, control valve selection, shutdown systems, hazardous area requirements, and instrumentation installation practices\nFamiliarity with SIL assessment, functional safety requirements, HAZOP, LOPA, and cause-and-effect development\nStrong coordination skills with multidisciplinary engineering teams, vendors, contractors, and clients\nAbility to work in a fast-paced EPC/EPCM/PMC environment on multi-billion-dollar offshore projects\nGood communication, technical reporting, and problem-solving skills\nPrior experience within a central engineering or shared services environment is an
