In this role, you will turn sophisticated server, network, and platform technologies into clear, practical learning experiences that help technical users build and sustain critical capabilities.\nYou will design, develop, deliver, and maintain instructor-led and blended technical training for enterprise IT environments, working closely with engineering, technical writing, and program teams. Your work will include certification-focused training, Written Courses of Instruction (WCI), lesson plans, instructor and student guides, laboratory exercises, job aids, assessments, and other performance-support materials.\nThis position is ideal for an experienced technical trainer who combines strong instructional design skills with hands-on knowledge of enterprise systems, networking, Windows and Linux environments, and related infrastructure technologies. You will have the opportunity to shape technical learning from initial task analysis through course development, delivery, evaluation, and continuous improvement-helping ensure that users are prepared to operate effectively in demanding technical environments.\nSecurity Clearance Requirements:\nThis position requires candidates to be U.S. Citizens and possess a TS/SCI Security Clearance with an appropriate Polygraph.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, develop, and maintain instructor-led and blended learning solutions.\nDevelop technical training content supporting server, network, and platform administration requirements.\nDeliver competency-based training for users of technical systems using a variety of instructional methods and learning technologies.\nAnalyze engineering documentation, system specifications, technical manuals, and operational procedures to identify training needs.\nDevelop lesson plans, instructor guides, student guides, job aids, laboratory exercises, assessments, and performance support materials.\nConduct training effectiveness evaluations and maintain related metrics and reporting.\nSupport course validation, pilot delivery, configuration management, and content updates.\nMaintain WCI products and associated instructional documentation.\nCoordinate training product development activities with engineering, technical writing, and program support teams.\nQualifications\nBasic Qualifications\nAt least 12 years of relevant experience in technical training, instructional delivery, curriculum development, and/or technology-focused education, with experience supporting enterprise IT, server, network, and platform environments.\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in instructional systems design, curriculum development, or technical training development.\nExperience developing technical training solutions for enterprise IT, networking, server administration, or similar technology environments, preferably in a collaborative team setting.\nWorking knowledge of Windows Server administration, including Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022.\nWorking knowledge of Linux system administration.\nExperience delivering instructor-led technical training using multiple applications or platforms.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.\nIn-depth experience developing technical documentation, training materials, and instructional content.\nAbility to manage multiple concurrent development efforts in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Adult Learning, Education, Technical Communication, Curriculum Development, or a related field.\nMaster's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning Technologies, or a related discipline.\nExperience supporting Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), Federal Government, or contractor-led training programs.\nExperience developing and delivering technical training for enterprise IT environments.\nKnowledge of enterprise networking technologies, including firewalls, load balancers, intrusion detection systems/network intrusion detection systems (IDS/NIDS), network address translation (NAT), port address translation (PAT), virtual local area networks (VLANs), access control lists (ACLs), and cloud networking architectures.\nExperience with Cisco Nexus and Cisco Catalyst platforms.\nExperience troubleshooting enterprise servers, systems, and network infrastructure.\nExperience managing training development projects across the full Instructional Systems Development lifecycle.\nExperience developing technical publications, user guides, operational procedures, requirements documentation, and training manuals.\nExperience with HTML, JavaScript, Adobe Creative Cloud, Articulate Storyline, Rise, Captivate, or similar development tools.\nFamiliarity with virtualization, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data center technologies.\nAbout WOOD\nWOOD Federal Solutions is a mission-focused federal contractor supporting complex national security and government programs.
