In this role, you will be responsible for performing construction observation, testing, and inspection of various phases of construction which includes but is not limited to mass grading, utility installation, concrete pavement, masonry, reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, bolting, and welding.\nThis is a staffed, hourly, non-exempt position.\nWhat you will be doing\nPerform construction observation to ensure that work is being performed in accordance with approved plans and specifications.\nConduct special inspections (reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, masonry, etc.) and field-materials testing including soil compaction, concrete strength, and asphalt density testing.\nRecord and document daily test results and observations and communicate findings with project management team.\nPrepare and organize test reports for different phases of the construction project.\nMaintain equipment and perform routine maintenance and calibration to ensure accurate readings.\nQualifications & Skills\n5+ years of experience in quality control, construction materials testing, or related field.\nAmerican Concrete Institute (ACI) Grade I certification. \nNevada Alliance for Quality Transportation Construction (NAQTC) Sampling and Density certification.\nInternational Code Council (ICC) Certification(s).\nValid driver’s license and reliable transportation.\nOccupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10-hour Construction certification.\nInternational Code Council (ICC) certifications - Reinforced Concrete, Prestressed Concrete, and Masonry are preferred. \nProficient in overseeing construction activities, conducting field tests, and preparing detailed reports. \nFamiliar with the equipment, techniques, and protocols used in construction materials testing.\nAbility to work independently, manage time effectively and work in a team environment.\nPhysically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform duties in outdoor weather conditions.\nA note on hourly pay ranges\n\nThe range does not reflect geographic variations and may fluctuate above or below the stated amount. Offers will be based on several factors, including experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, training, and location.
