Woodston Personnel Ltd is delighted to partner with a GP practice based in Cork City seeking a reliable and organised Medical Secretary to join their team.
This is a part-time position for 3 days per week (Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday) working from 8:00am to 6:00pm each day.
Previous experience in a medical administrative role is an advantage.
Experience with Helix software is preferred.
Key responsibilities will include
Managing appointments
Handling patient enquiries in person and over the phone
Maintaining accurate patient records
Processing prescriptions
Supporting the clinical team with general administrative duties.
Liaising with patients, healthcare professionals, and external services in a professional and confidential manner.
The ideal candidate will have strong organisational and communication skills, good attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment. A friendly and approachable manner, along with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, is essential.

Requirements
Experience in a similar role an advantage
Experience using the Helix IT System preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Good IT skills, including experience with emails, calendars, and office software.
Ability to work accurately, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow policies.
