Plans and coordinates schedule of preventive maintenance for equipment, machinery, tools, and manufacturing building. Works closely with Planning and Production Supervisors to ensure equipment availability on demand. This position takes a lead role in identifying and implementing cost reduction activities through equipment and facilities maintenance activities and projects, This leadership position plans and takes action with safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and growth (SQDPG) KPI’s and proactively supports company policies and strategies.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:\nDirects technicians in electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of equipment. Acquires/develops appropriate technical competencies in workforce as deemed necessary.\nCoordinates facilities work as necessary to maintain building and grounds with internal resources as available and 3rd party contractors as needed.\nImproves PM program and effectiveness on a continual basis \nDirects workers engaged in dismantling, assembling, and installing production equipment.\nMonitors and help keep appropriate supply of spare parts, tools, equipment, and supplies.\nEstimates technician hour requirements for completion of job assignments. Ensures that technical resources are optimally utilized.\nInterprets specifications, blueprint, and technical documentation and acts as technical go-to person on difficult equipment downtime issues.\nAdjusts technical workload and/or resource levels to meet production schedules. \nImplements improvements to methods that support workplace safety, product quality, and equipment performance.\nWorks with peers and cross-functionally to coordinate technical activities of Lititz manufacturing and facility work.\nDetermine when planned equipment and facilities maintenance will least interfere with operation.\nMaintains records of planned and completed maintenance and other applicable business records. (CMMS - Manager Plus)\nInspects completed work for conformance to expectations and work standards\nMaintains professional appearance in technical work areas with an emphasis on housekeeping.\nProblem solves with engineering and planning to solve roadblocks to execution issues. \nOTHER FUNCTIONS:\nProactive safety, quality near-miss situation communication.
