The Warehouse Coordinator helps ensure that receiving, shipping, and material replenishment plans are executed effectively while supporting continuous improvement, operational discipline, and a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.\nThe position requires strong organizational skills, proactive problem-solving, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate activities across multiple departments. The Warehouse Coordinator acts as a liaison between warehouse employees and leadership and may provide support in the absence of Shipping Receiving / Warehouse Supervisor.\nEssential Functions & Responsibilities:\nWarehouse Coordination & Daily Execution\nMonitor and support adherence to the daily shipping, receiving, and replenishment schedule, ensuring warehouse activities operate in accordance with planning priorities.\nMaintain strong situational awareness across the warehouse and shipping/receiving docks, identifying potential disruptions such as carrier delays, material handling equipment downtime, material shortages, or staffing gaps.\nCoordinate labor redeployment and break coverage to maintain dock throughput and uninterrupted material flow to production.\nAssist Shipping Receiving / Warehouse Supervisor in managing inbound/outbound scheduling, staging, put-away, and material transitions.\nConduct regular floor and dock checks to verify material and count accuracy, label and lot accuracy, shipment alignment, and proper Bill of Materials (BOM) staging for production.\nCommunication & Cross-Functional Coordination\nServe as a liaison between material handlers, supervisors, production, planning, maintenance, quality, carriers, and other departments distributing work and achieving success in the execution\nCommunicate equipment issues, dock or carrier delays, and operational risks to Shipping Receiving / Warehouse Supervisor and Production Supervisors.\nInitiate work orders or maintenance requests as needed to address equipment issues.\nEscalate warehouse issues early to prevent impact to production schedule adherence, shipment commitments, inventory accuracy, quality, or safety.\nCommunicate operational priorities clearly to material handlers during shift activities.\nWarehouse Monitoring & KPI Support\nTrack warehouse metrics, including but not limited to:\nSafety incidents\nQuality concerns\nThroughput and productivity (receipts, put-aways, picks, and shipments)\nMaterial handling equipment availability and downtime\nShipping, receiving, and replenishment schedule adherence\nInventory accuracy and cycle count performance\nAttendance and labor utilization\nMaintain accurate inventory transactions, receipt and shipment counts, cycle count records, and downtime documentation.\nAssist supervisors in identifying trends and recommending operational improvements.\nContinuous Improvement & Process Discipline\nSupport improvement initiatives related to material flow, storage utilization, inventory accuracy, efficiency, and quality.\nIdentify bottlenecks, workflow interruptions, and process inefficiencies.\nAssist in the development and improvement of:\nStandard Operating Procedures (SOPs)\nCenterline Inspection Lists (CILs) for Forklift and Warehouse Equipment\nWork Instructions\nWarehouse and inventory documentation\nPromote adherence to Lean principles and 5S workplace organization.\nSafety, Quality & Compliance\nDemonstrate and promote a safety-first mindset at all times.\nSupport compliance with:\nOSHA safety standards\nPowered industrial truck (forklift) safety requirements\nCompany safety policies\nQuality procedures\nAssist with safety communication and encourage reporting of hazards and near-miss events.\nSupport supervisors in maintaining high standards of quality and operational discipline.\nGENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES\nUnderstand and follow all company policies, safety rules, SOPs, requirements, and regulatory expectations, including union agreements.\nMaintain professional and respectful working relationships with peers, supervisors, and cross-functional teams.\nMaintain clean, organized, and compliant work areas in accordance with 5S.\nEncourage teamwork, accountability, and adherence to warehouse and operational standards.\nMaintain strong awareness of overall plant workflow and operational priorities.\nPerform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management.\nPerforms other duties as assigned. \nSuccessful Candidate Profile:\nHigh School degree required. An associate degree or higher, or equivalent experience, may be considered.\nPrevious leadership experience preferred.
