The purpose of an internship at Woodward is to provide students with the opportunity to gain exposure and “real life” business acumen within the Aerospace and Energy Industry. Our internships also provide students with the opportunity to learn and gain practical experience and to work in areas related to their academic and/or career interests. What you will be doing
Inventory Management: Assistin monitoring and maintainingoptimalinventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing excess stock and carrying costs.
Data Analysis: Analyze inventory data to identifytrends, forecast demand, and provideactionable insights to improve stock accuracy and operational efficiency.
Supplier Management: Support in building and maintainingstrong relationships with suppliers by tracking performance metrics, resolving issues, and ensuring timelydelivery of materials.
Procurement Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contracts in alignment with company goals and budget.
Process Improvement: Participatein reviewing supply chain operations and propose enhancements to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency.
What We Are Looking For
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Competent skills in problem solving and trouble-shooting.
Competentin the use of PCs, MS Office Programsand other associated software.
Ability to effectively operatein a team environment.
Effective time management skills.
Solid knowledge of the English language with the ability to speak, read and write along with good listening skills.
Possess high motivation, flexibilityand ability to work on his/her own.
Education or Formal Training
Must be at least a sophomore in an accredited College or University program and have an acceptable grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
Experience Required
No experience required. Previousinternship or other working experience, a plus.
