This position reports to the Site Civil Engineering Team Leader.\nWhat You Will Do:\nDesign and create site layout plans in alignment with client requirements and Woolpert standards. \nUtilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop concept plans, grading plans, and site designs. \nWork with project management teams to identify impediments and develop/implement solutions to overcome obstacles. \nPerform site due diligence assessments and compile data and reports.\nPerform occasional field work and frequent local travel, and overnight travel, as needed.\nMinimum Requirements\nBEng / BSc (Eng) in Civil Engineering from a recognized South African university.\nMinimum 10 years of post-graduate experience in civil engineering, ideally in infrastructure, hydrology, stormwater management, or structural design.\nEng registration with ECSA (Engineering Council of South Africa) is required.\nProficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D or AutoCAD Civil 3D is also required locally used for civil design, roads, drainage, and stormwater systems.\nAbility to manage multiple infrastructure projects, prepare design documentation and reports, and ensure compliance with ECSA Code of Conduct and project delivery timelines.\nDemonstrated expertise in stormwater drainage design, runoff calculations, and compliance with local bylaws (e.g., SANS 1200, SANS 10400, and municipal stormwater standards).\nKnowledge of hydraulic and hydrological modelling using tools such as HEC-RAS, EPANET, SWMM, or Civil 3D hydrology modules is highly advantageous.\nUnique Benefits\nCertified as a Great Place to Work® Woolpert is one of the fastest growing architecture, engineering, and geospatial (AEG) companies in the world.
