The Construction Inspector assists in the construction of public and private Infrastructure projects. The Construction Inspector works with other Construction Managers, Design Engineers, Project Managers, Practice Leader, and Market directors for civil engineering projects for the Aviation, Water, and Transportation Markets.\nWe are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located.\nWhat You Will Do:\nIncreasing responsibilities to perform construction management duties\nGood ability at analyzing and programs independently\nEvaluates, selects and applies standard techniques, procedures and criteria\nApplies an increased amount of professional judgment and discretion\nMust consistently apply Woolpert procedures\nGood ability at performing quality control reviews and assists with quality assurance procedures within areas of expertise\nManage the inspections of construction projects and materials for compliance with applicable codes, standards, and approved construction plans/specifications\nGood knowledge at ensuring inspections are completed according to contract protocols.\nStrong knowledge at reviewing and interpreting construction documents, site drawings, as-built drawings, and specifications\nCapable of resolving minor issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.\nCommunicate with contractors if test failures occur.\nManages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity.\nProvides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility.\nProduce daily and weekly reports\nWhat You Will Bring:\nHigh School Diploma or GED\nAssociate's degree or higher in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or related field and/or 3+ years of construction inspection experience\nProficient in MS Office, Word, Excel.\nAbility to deal effectively with people at all levels\nGood knowledge of construction management, inspections, methods and materials\nGood knowledge of contract administration and pay estimates\nGood knowledge of soil analysis, materials, compaction, and density tests\nThorough knowledge of engineering practices including experience on infrastructure, municipal or vertical construction projects.\nFamiliarity with construction observation reporting and procedures.\nGood daily report writing and accurate quantity tracking ability.\nGood communication skills with clients and staff.\nValid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.\n10 Hour OSHA Construction Certificate or ability to obtain.\nAbility to visit and safely traverse construction and project sites as well as comply with applicable safety codes and requirements.\nExperience with AutoCAD Civil 3D a plus.\nDOT Certifications or the ability to obtain in a timely manner\nMaterial Testing Certifications or the ability to obtain in a timely manner\nBenefits You Will Love\nCertified as a Great Place to Work, Woolpert is one of the fastest-growing architecture, engineering, and geospatial companies in the world.
